Social and academic interesting to Confucius Words for Family trended up lately. First, it has been translated into Korean by a few scholars progressively. Second, it was treated in topics better than reference materials of academic studies for the first time. But Korean translations and academic studies connote a meaning that Confucius Words for Family become grounds for Confucius thoughts on the whole so that throw the readers and scholars into a fallacy. “A study on compilation and dependability of Confucius Words for Family” reveals that. However it failed to argue about both truth problem discussion and value impotence emphasis. So that, it is necessary to restrict a status and significance of Confucius Words for Family. First, we have to verify the content and example that can be turned out and connected with Confucius thoughts. Second, we have to limit the content and example that threw into a fallacy of hasty generalization.

『공자가어』에 대한 학계나 사회의 관심이 점증하는 추세가 뚜렷하 다. 한글 번역이 활성화되고 학술 연구의 참고 자료이던 것이 주요 대 상으로 논의된다. 이들 번역이나 연구는 『공자가어』전체를 공자 사 상에 대한 직접 논거로 활용할 수 있다는 논리를 함축한다. 대표 사례 가 『공자가어통해』의 서문을 대신한 양조명의 글이다. 『공자가어』 의 진위 문제에 관한 그의 논의는 위서설 논박과 반위서설 입론 모두 에 대해 그리고 『공자가어』중요가치에 관한 입론에서 결함을 드러 낸다. 『공자가어』의 진실성을 완전히 입증하는 것이나 허위성을 완 전히 반증하는 것 모두 역사적으로나 경험적으로 불가능한 만큼, 『공 자가어』의 위상과 의의는 제한적으로 인정해야 한다. 공자 사상과 직 접 연계할 수 있는 내용을 검증하고, 이른바 성급한 일반화의 오류에 해당하는 내용을 제외해야 한다.
