Educational Neuroscience aims to address issues related to the mind, brain, and education, with the goal of applying findings from neuroscience research to education. To enhance the competence of ethics teachers, attention should be given to neuroscience research that assists learners in adopting proactive learning strategies. However, it is crucial to be mindful of the neuromyths that pose barriers to effectively implementing brain neuroscience research in practice. Considering this, there is a need for neuroscientifically based training to introduce validated brain-based educational programs into classrooms and to cultivate ethics teacher competence. Given the current lack of emphasis on neuroscience in ethics teacher education, providing information from educational neuroscience is essential for the ongoing professional development of ethics teachers. This study discusses strategies for cultivating ethics teacher competence based on educational neuroscience, specifically for learner-centered education.

교육신경과학은 마음, 뇌, 교육과 관련한 문제를 다루며 뇌 신경과학 연구 결과를 교육에 적용하는 것을 목표로 한다. 윤리교사의 전문성 향상을 위해 학습자의 능동적 학습 전략을 돕는 신경과학 연구에 주목 할 필요가 있다. 한편 뇌 신경과학 연구를 효과 있게 실천에 적용하는 데 장벽이 되는 신경신화를 주의해야 한다. 이를 감안해 검증된 뇌 기 반 교육프로그램을 교실에 도입하기 위해 신경과학 기반의 윤리교사 전문성 훈련이 필요하다. 현재 윤리교사교육에서 신경과학은 거의 다 루지 않고 있다는 점을 고려할 때, 윤리교사의 지속적인 전문성 개발 을 위해 교육신경과학의 정보 제공이 요구된다. 이 연구에서는 학습자 중심교육을 위한 교육신경과학 기반의 윤리교사 전문성 함양 방안을 논의하였다.
