This study was conducted to verify the effect of neglectful parental parenting attitudes experienced by multicultural teenagers on school adaptation, and whether friendship and teacher relationships mediate the relationship between them. To this end, this study used data from the 7th Multicultural Youth Panel conducted and distributed by the Korea Youth Policy Institute. The subjects of the study were 1,215 multicultural high school students. As for the analysis method, descriptive statistics and regression analysis were performed using SPSS 25.0. The analysis results are as follows. First, the neglectful parenting attitude perceived by multicultural adolescents showed a negative (-) effect on school adaptation. Second, it was found that friend relationships have the effect of mediating between neglectful parental parenting attitudes and school adaptation perceived by multicultural adolescents. Third, it was verified that teacher relationships have the effect of mediating between neglectful parental parenting attitudes and school adaptation experienced by multicultural adolescents. Based on the above research, this study discussed and suggested ways to improve the level of school adaptation that can be lowered due to parents’ neglectful parenting attitudes through friend relationships and teacher relationships of multicultural adolescents.

본 연구는 다문화 청소년이 경험하고 있는 방임적 부모양육태도가 학교적응에 미치 는 영향과 교우관계 및 교사관계가 이들 간의 관계를 매개하는지를 검증하고자 수행되 었다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 한국청소년정책연구원이 조사하여 배포한 제7차년도 다문 화 청소년 패널자료를 활용하였다. 연구대상자는 다문화 고등학생 1,215명이다. 분석 방법은 SPSS 25.0을 활용하여 기술통계 및 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 분석결과는 첫째, 다문화 청소년이 경험하는 방임적 부모양육태도는 학교적응에 부적(-) 영향을 보였다. 둘째, 교우관계는 다문화 청소년이 경험하고 있는 방임적 부모양육태도와 학교적응 간 을 매개하는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 교사관계는 다문화 청소년이 경험하 고 있는 방임적 부모양육태도와 학교적응 간을 매개하는 효과가 있는 것을 검증하였 다. 이상의 연구를 토대로 본 연구에서는 다문화 청소년의 교우관계와 교사관계를 통 해 방임적 부모양육태도로 인해 낮아질 수 있는 학교적응 수준을 향상할 수 있는 방안을 논의하고 제언을 하였다.
