This paper explores the application of frame theory to the study of language attitudes in sociolinguistics, seeking alternative perspectives and interpretive methods for language attitude research and discussing their meanings and implications. This work moves slightly away from the focus of traditional language attitude research, which primarily emphasized attitudes towards language itself or the social factors influencing language attitudes. Instead, it views language attitudes as attitudes towards the individuals or communities who use the language. It primarily focuses on language attitudes reflected in language policies of certain regions in China and South Korea from the perspective of a Frame. The application of Frame Theory in these discussions broadens the horizons of language attitude research, suggests various research methods and directions, highlights the importance of a shift in mindset, and allows for the exploration of the underlying mechanisms of language attitudes, facilitating more effective research.

이 글은 프레임 이론을 사회언어학의 언어 태도 연구에 적용하여 언어 태도 연구의 또 다른 시각과 해석 방법을 모색하고, 그 의미 등에 대해 논의한다. 이러한 작업은 기존의 언어 태도 연구가 언어 자체에 대한 태도나 사회적 요인이 언어 태도에 미친 영향 등에 치중하였던 것에서 조금 벗어나 언어 태도는 그 언어를 사용하는 사람이나 공동체에 대한 태도이며, 이는 하나의 프레임이라는 시각으로 한중 두 나라 일부의 언어정책에 반영된 언어 태도를 중심으로 논의를 전개한다. 프레임 이론을 적용한 이러한 논의는 언어 태도 연구의 시야를 넓혀주고, 다양한 연구 방법과 방향을 제시하며, 또한 사고방식 전환의 중요성을 일깨워주어 언어 태도의 심층적 기제를 파악하여 보다 더 효과적인 연구가 이루어지게 한다.
