This study was conducted based on the color design of the port facility landscape and tourist route of the National Fishing Port Advancement Project, which was promoted from June 2019 to September 2021. The purpose of this study is to revitalize the local economy through regeneration of port facilities in Bangeojin Port and to establish regional identity through environmental color design of port facilities that induce tourists to stay. As for the research method, Chapter 1 described the background and purpose of the research. In Chapter 2, research literature on marine spatial environmental design, environmental color, and regional identity was reviewed, and domestic and foreign cases of environmental color design were investigated and analyzed. In Chapter 3, the environmental colors of the landscape images of four regions in Bangeojin Port were extracted through the Korean Standard Color Analysis (KSCA). In Chapter 4, the basic environmental colors of port facilities (blue, green, yellow, pink, white) and design results of port infrastructure (5 types of breakwater-related facilities and 3 types of port infrastructure) were presented. In Chapter 5, the implications of the research results, limitations and problems of this study, and future research directions were presented. As a result of the study, Bangeojin Port is a semi-industrial area in the coastal scenic area, and visitors' access is limited. The basic environmental color and night lighting of the port public facilities and public buildings were designed to reflect the environmental color of the port. Port facility tourism resources and night view contents were provided as landscape lighting through environmental color design. Therefore, it is meaningful in that it not only revitalizes the local economy day and night, but also lays the groundwork for establishing regional identity through environmental color design.

본 연구는 지역소멸 위기에 직면한 방어진이 연구 대상지이며, 연구의 범위는 2019년 6월부터 2021년 9 월까지 추진된 국가어항 고도화를 위한 관광루트의 항 만시설 경관·색채 디자인 설계를 바탕으로 한다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 방어진항 항만시설의 관광자원화 재 생과 체류형 관광객 증진, 나아가 해안 공간환경 디자 인을 통한 지역 정체성 확립 방안 모색이다. 연구의 방 법은 제2장의 해양 공간환경 디자인에 대한 이해를 바 탕으로 환경색채와 지역 정체성 관련 선행연구 및 문헌 고찰, 그리고 국내·외 환경색채 사례를 조사·분석하였 다. 제3장에서는 방어진항의 자연·인공 경관자원에 대 한 현황 및 상위계획 검토(개발 여건 SWOT 분석), 자 연·인공 경관 4개 영역의 경관이미지를 한국표준색 색 채분석(KSCA) 프로그램으로 환경색채를 분석하였다. 제4장에서는 분석 결과를 종합해 방어진항 기본 환경 색채 5가지(Blue, Green, Yellow, Pink, White)를 제시하였으며, 이를 반영한 항만시설(방파제 관련 시설 5종, 항만 기반시설 3종)의 디자인 결과물을 제시하였 다. 제5장에서는 연구 결과에 대한 함의, 본 연구의 한 계와 과제, 향후 연구의 방향성을 제언하였다. 연구의 결과 방어진항은 해안경관권역의 준공업지역으로 방문 객의 접근이 제한적이다. 이에 지역 정체성 확립을 위 해 항만 공공시설 및 공공건축물 등에 색채디자인과 경 관조명 디자인을 시도하였다. 이는 항만시설의 관광자 원화 및 야간경관 콘텐츠를 제공함으로써 주야간 지역 경제 활성화는 물론, 지역 정체성 확립 기반을 마련하 였다는 점에 연구의 의의가 있다. 나아가 우리나라는 삼면이 바다로 접한 반도이다. 이에 해양 공간환경의 지리적·환경적·공간적 특수성을 지닌 점을 고려해 본다 면, 본 연구의 환경색채뿐만 아니라, 미학적 측면의 다 양한 디자인 방법론과 해양산업 분야의 융·복합 공간환 경 디자인 연구가 활발히 시도되기를 기대한다.
