The purpose of this study was to identify Korean teachers' time allocation profiles for their main tasks and to investigate how these profiles can be predicted by various teacher and school level factors. To this end, survey reports from 5,502 teachers and 309 principals from the TALIS 2018 Korea data were utilized for the analyses. First, a single level latent profile analysis was conducted using teacher reports on their time allocation ratio by nine major task types at the teacher level. As a result, a total of seven profiles including 'overall balanced(61.6%)', 'instruction preparation intensive(12.6%)', 'administrative work focused(9.9%)', 'communication-oriented(4.9%)', 'professional development-oriented (4.3%)', 'school management participation(4.0%)', 'extracurricular activity guidance(2.7%)' were identified. As a result of multilevel latent profile analysis to understand how the derived teacher-level profile aspects appear at the school level, two school profiles including 'teaching and learning and professional development task focused school group(45.7%)' and 'administrative and counseling tasks focused school group(54.3%)' were derived. Lastly, multinomial logistic regression was conducted to find the significant predictors of profile memberships. The results indicate that teacher's gender, education level, employment type, teaching experience, school size, teacher-student ratio, and stakeholder participation were significantly associated with profile memberships. Taken together, this study contributes to the literature by providing empirical information on important aspects of Korean teachers' time allocation patterns to conduct their main tasks. The interpretation and implications from the findings were discussed.

본 연구는 우리나라 초등학교와 중학교에 근무하는 교사들이 여러 직무를 수행함에 있어 어떠한 양상으로 시간을 배분하는지 프로파일을 도출해 탐색하고, 이러한 프로파일 소속에 영향을 미치는 개인 및 학교 수준의 요인을 파악하기 위해 시행되었다. 이를 위해 TALIS 2018 대한민국 교사(n=5,502)와 교장(n=309)의 설문 응답을 활용하여 잠재프로파일 분석을 시 행하였다. 먼저, 교사 수준에서 아홉 개의 주요 직무 유형별 시간 배분 비율에 관한 응답을 활용하여 잠재프로파일 분석을 실시한 결과, ‘전반적 균형형(61.6%)’, ‘수업 준비 집중형 (12.6%)’, ‘행정업무 집중형(9.9%)’, ‘학생 및 학부모와의 소통 중시형(4.9%)’, ‘전문성 개발 중시 형(4.3%)’, ‘학교경영 참여형(4.0%)’, ‘교과 외 활동지도 중시형(2.7%)’의 총 일곱 프로파일이 도 출되었다. 이렇게 도출된 교사 수준의 프로파일 비율이 학교 수준에서 어떻게 조합되어 나타 나는지 파악하기 위하여, 다층 잠재프로파일 분석을 실시한 결과, ‘교수·학습 및 전문성 신장 관련 직무 중시 학교군(45.7%)’과 ‘행정 및 학생 이해 관련 직무 중시 학교군(54.3%)’으로 명 명된 두 프로파일이 확인되었다. 이러한 프로파일들의 영향 요인을 찾기 위해 (다항) 로지스 틱 회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 성별, 최종 학위, 고용 형태, 경력, 학교급, 학생 수, 교사 1인당 학생 수, 이해관계자 참여에 의해 교사 및 학교의 프로파일 소속이 유의한 수준에서 예측됨 을 파악하였다. 본 연구는 교사들이 여러 개인 및 학교 환경 요소에 복합적으로 영향을 받으 며 다양한 양상으로 그들의 직무수행에 시간을 배분하고 있음을 실증적으로 확인하고 있다.
