The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of coach ethical leadership on the moral behavior and sports character of middle and high school student athletes in competitive sports. To achieve this purpose, data from 530 secondary school students in the metropolitan area were utilized. The data collected were subjected to pre-treatment and post-treatment analyses using the SPSS 25.0 program. The validity and reliability of the measurement instruments for each variable were verified through factor analysis and reliability analysis, and frequency analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were conducted to verify the hypotheses of this study. The results of the study showed that, first, coach ethical leadership has a positive effect on increasing pro-social behavior and decreasing antisocial behavior of student athletes' moral behavior. Second, coach ethical leadership has a positive effect on increasing sports character in competition and daily situations of student athletes. This study showed that athletes' moral behavior and sports character are highly influenced by the ethics and morality of their leaders and are interdependent, and in order to sustain them in a positive way, a systematic ethics and character education system for leaders and athletes should be established.

본 연구는 지도자 윤리적리더십이 투기종목 중·고등학교 학생선수들의 도덕행동과 스포츠인성에 미치는 영향 을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 수도권 중·고등학생 530명의 자료를 활용하였다. 수집된 자료 는 SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 사용하여 자료의 전처리 과저 후 분석에 적용하였다. 각 변인별 측정도구는 타당도와 신뢰도는 요인분석과 신뢰도분석을 통해 검증하였으며, 본 연구의 가설 검증을 위해 빈도분석, 상관분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 지도자 윤리적리더십은 투기종목 학생선수의 도덕행동의 친사회적행동을 높이고, 반사회적행동을 낮추 는 긍정적인 영향력이 나타났다. 둘째, 지도자 윤리적리더십은 투기종목 학생선수의 경기상황과 일상상황에서 스포츠인 성을 높이는 긍정적인 영향력이 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 선수의 도덕행동과 스포츠인성은 결국 지도자의 윤리성과 도덕 성에 많은 영향을 받게 되며 상호 의존하는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 이를 긍정적인 방법으로 지속하기 위해서는 지도자와 선수를 대상으로 한 체계적인 윤리 및 인성교육 시스템의 마련이 되어야 할 것이다.
