The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the influencing factors along with the actual condition analysis of illegal online gambling in Korean adolescents, and discuss implications based on the analysis results. In this study, a total of 800 adolescents attending middle schools in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do were surveyed for about two months from October to November 2022, and a total of 652 questionnaires were analyzed, excluding questionnaires with missing items and/or insincere responses. As a result of the analysis, first, it was found that male students engage in illegal online gambling more than female students. Second, impulsiveness and stress were found to have a positive (+) effect on illegal online gambling. Third, gambling beliefs were found to have a positive (+) effect on illegal online gambling. Fourth, impulsiveness and stress were found to have a positive (+) effect on illegal online gambling by their gambling beliefs. In other words, it was found that the moderating effect of gambling belief increased the illegal online gambling experience. Based on the current research results, implications were suggested to respond to illegal online gambling of adolescents. Finally, the limitations of the study were discussed along with the academic and policy contribution of this study.

이 연구의 목적은 한국 청소년의 불법 온라인 도박의 실태분석과 함께 영향요인에 대해서 실증적 으로 살펴보고 분석결과를 바탕으로 시사점을 논의하는 것이다. 이 연구는 2022년 10월부터 11월까 지 약 2달 동안 서울과 경기도 지역 중학교에 재학 중인 청소년 총 800명을 대상으로 설문을 실시 하여 누락항목이 많거나 불성실하게 응답이 많은 설문지를 제외하여 총 652부를 분석하였다. 분석결 과, 첫째, 남학생이 여학생보다 불법 온라인 도박을 더 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 충동성과 스트레스는 불법 온라인 도박에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 도박신념은 불법 온라인 도박에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 충동성과 스트레스는 도박신념에 의 해서 불법 온라인 도박에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 도박신념의 조절효과는 불 법 온라인 도박경험을 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 청소년의 불법 온 라인 도박에 대응하기 위한 시사점을 제언하였다. 끝으로 이 연구의 학술적·정책적 의의와 함께 연 구의 한계에 대해서 논의하였다.
