The purpose of this study is to explore Christians' spiritual longing through phenomenological analysis methods. To this end, Christians' spiritual longings were studied and essential topics were derived based on Moustakas' phenomenological analysis method. Spiritual longing is a desire for God, a unique longing of Christians that has been confirmed by the authors throughout the Bible. Christians have the right desire for God based on their existential identity as children of God, creatures, and people of God's kingdom. This study is a phenomenological study that explored the nature of various and specific spiritual longings of Christians based on empirical data. The research results of this study are as follows. Spiritual longing were derived from the theme of longing to love God, longing for salvation to be completed, and longing for new creation to be made. The desire to love God consists of a desire to want God more than anything else, a desire to interact closely and personally with God, a desire to give all time completely, a desire to be satisfied and happy with God alone, a desire for eternal companionship, and a desire for God's rule and will to come true. The second appeared the theme of longing for salvation to be completed. A desire to save from sin and a desire to save from pain appeared. The final theme was the longing for new creation, which resulted in a desire for holiness, a desire to win spiritual battles, a desire for humility, a desire for nurture, a desire for faith, and a desire to love their neighbor more.

본 연구의 목적은 기독교인들의 영적 갈망을 현상학적 분석방법을 통해 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 Moustakas의 현상학적 분석방법을 기반으로 기독교인들의 영적 갈망을 연구하고 본질적인 주제들을 도출하였다. 영적 갈망은 하나님을 향한 갈망으 로 성경 전반에 걸쳐 저자들에 의해 확인되고 있는 기독교인의 독특한 갈망이다. 기 독교인은 하나님의 자녀로서, 피조물로서, 하나님 나라의 백성으로서의 존재 정체성을 기반으로 하나님을 향한 올바른 갈망을 갖는다. 본 연구는 현상학적 분석을 통해 기 독교인들의 다양하고 구체적인 영적 갈망의 본질을 탐색하였다. 본 연구의 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 영적 갈망은 하나님을 사랑하고 싶은 갈망, 구원이 완성되길 바라는 갈망, 새 창조가 이뤄지는 갈망의 주제가 도출되었다. 첫째, 하나님을 사랑하고 싶은 갈망은 하나님을 다른 무엇보다 가장 갈망하길 바라는 갈망, 하나님과 친밀하게 인격적으로 교제하고 싶은 갈망, 모든 시간을 온전히 드리고 싶은 갈망, 하나님만으로 만족하고 기뻐하고 싶은 갈망, 영원한 교제에 대한 갈망, 하나님의 통치와 뜻이 이뤄지길 바라는 갈망으로 구성되었다. 두 번째는 구원이 완성되길 바라는 갈망의 주제가 나타났다. 죄에서 구원해주시길 바라는 갈망과 고통에서 구원 해주시길 바라는 갈망이 나타났다. 마지막 주제는 새 창조가 이뤄지기를 바라는 갈망 으로 거룩에 대한 갈망, 영적 싸움에서 승리하고자 하는 갈망, 겸손에 대한 갈망, 양 육에 대한 갈망, 믿음에 대한 갈망, 이웃을 더욱 사랑하고 싶은 갈망이 도출되었다.
