- The purpose of this article is to introduce a case of self-change in the Department of Korean Language and Literature, centering on the Department of Web Culture and Arts of Dongguk University WISE Campus. In the process of completely reorganizing the existing Department of Korean Language and Literature into the Department of Web Culture and Arts, we not only took into account the development and differentiation of media in the 21st century and the changes in the production conditions of culture and art linked to it, but also the interests of learners in the teaching-learning system, their cultural capital and educational needs were taken into account. Therefore, the major curriculum of the Department of Korean Language and Literature, which consisted of Korean linguistics, classical literature, and modern literature, was focused on cultivating major competencies to create and criticize multilingual, multi-genre, and multi-cultural culture and arts. This can be said to be a movement of innovation following selfimplosion in that it proposes new academic fields and departments. However, such reorganization and innovation were also driven by a sense of crisis. In the process of redefining the identity of the department, it boldly escaped the major curriculum, which was considered unique to the existing the Department of Korean Language and Literature, and carried out the pain of implosion and a break in innovation to pioneer a new academic field and major area called the Department of Web Culture and Arts. It is related to a series of measures taken to increase the competition rate, enrollment rate, and employment rate. Strengthening competitiveness for survival is subsumed into economic logic in that it stimulates the desires of economic people under the neoliberal system and provides the illusion that such desires are achievable. As such, the reorganization of the Department of Korean Language and Literature into the Department of Web Culture and Arts is performing a dangerous stunt between academic innovation and subjugation to capital.

- 이 글은 동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스 웹문예학과를 중심으로 국어국문학과의 자기 변화의 한 사례를 소개하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 기존 국어국문학과를 웹문예학과로 전면 개편하는 과정에서 21세기 미디어의 발달과 분화, 그에 연동한 문화·예술 생산 조건들의 변화를 감안하였을 뿐만 아니라, 교수- 학습 체제에서 학습자의 흥미와 관심, 그리고 그들의 문화자본과 교육적 요 구를 고려하였다. 그리하여 국어학, 고전문학, 현대문학으로 구성된 국어국 문학과의 전공교육과정으로부터 벗어나 다언어적·다장르적·다문화적 문화와 예술을 창작하고, 비평할 수 있는 전공역량을 함양하는 데 역점을 둔 전공교육과정을 입안하였다. 이는 새로운 학문 분야와 학과를 제안한다는 점에서는 자기 내파에 이은 혁신의 움직이라고 할 수 있다. 하지만 그러한 개편과 혁신은 위기의 감각에 이끌린 것이기도 하였다. 학과의 정체성을 재 정립하는 과정에서 기존 국어국문학과의 고유한 것으로 여겨지는 전공교육 과정을 과감히 벗어나 웹문예학과라는 새로운 학문 분야와 전공 영역을 개 척하기 위해 내파의 고통과 혁신의 단절을 수행했지만, 그것은 입시경쟁율 과 재학률, 그리고 취업률을 높이고자 취한 일련의 조치들과 닿아 있다. 생 존을 위한 경쟁력 강화는 신자유주의 체제하 경제적 인간의 욕망을 자극하 고, 그러한 욕망이 달성 가능하다는 환상을 제공한다는 점에서 경제적 논리 에 포섭된다. 이처럼 동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스 국어국문학과의 웹문예학과 로의 개편은 학문적 혁신과 자본에의 예속 사이에서 위험한 곡예를 벌이고 있다.

- 한국문예창작학회(The Society of Korean Literary Creative Writing)는 한국 문학의 새 지평을 열기 위해 문예창작 이론과 문예교육 이론을 연구 계발하여 문 예창작의 새로운 방향을 제시하고자 조직한 학술단체입니다. 전국 대학과 대학원 문예창작 관련학과의 전·현직 전임교수·겸임(초빙)교수· 강 사·대학원 재학 이상자 및 문예창작인들이 회원으로 활동하고 있습니다. 학회의 목적에 적극적으로 동의하는 문학 관련 단체나 문학창작 동호인도 준회원으로 참 여하고 있습니다. 연 2회 학회지를 발간해 학문적 기반을 닦고 있으며, 정기적으로 학술 세미나 와 해외 문학 심포지엄 등 학술 발표회를 개최하여 학문적 교류와 토론의 장을 넓히고 있습니다. 한편으로, 문예창작 캠프·문학기행 등의 창작교육 활동과 창작 학습 행사를 수 시로 진행하면서, 창작·창작이론·창작교육에 관한 활동의 범위를 넓히고 있습니다. 별도로, 문예창작 교육을 받은 문예창작학도들의 진로 개발을 위해 '문예교육지도 교사 자격 시험'도 운영하고 있습니다. The Society of Korean Literary Creative Writing is a pure academic association for the literary cretive writing, and was organized on November 11, 2001 for the purpose of presenting the new direction of literary creative writing by studying all the methods to activate and develop the theories of literary creative writing and its education. Our society is composed of professors or ex-professors, some invited professor, lecturers, graduate students of the dept. of literary creative writing as regular members, and the persons interested in our program as associative members. Our society holds an annual academic meeting-- literary symposium, literary creative writing seminar-- and publishes the journal of our society and our members' anthology of literary works. Added to these, our society has already started a new project to open the way for our literary juniors by providing them with a certificate as a leader and holding a forum for literary creative writing.
