This article focuses on the tran-national characteristics of the sports activities of Korean-Japanese sports communities and sports heroes from the establishment of the 1965 system after the signing of the Korea-Japan diplomatic relations to date. We examined what role Korean-Japanese sports communities and sports activities played in the history of Korean sports, which transformed from a small sports country to a sports powerhouse during the period from the mid-1960s to the 1980s. In Chapter 2, we examined Korean-Japanese sports communities and sports activities from a ‘nationality’ perspective. In Chapter 3, we discussed the characteristic features of Korean-Japanese sports communities and sports activities based on the concept of ‘trans-nationality’ Through these discussions, this article noted that Korean-Japanese sports communities and sports activities were a way of multicultural coexistence in terms of exchange and development of Korea-Japan sports.

이 글은 한일 국교가 체결되면서 성립한 1965년체제 이후부터 지금까지, 재일 코리안 스포츠커뮤니티 및 스포츠영웅들의 스포츠활동이 가진 초국적 특징에 주 목했다. 1960년대 중반부터 1980년대에 이르는 기간 동안 스포츠 약소국가에서 스 포츠강국으로 변모한 한국스포츠의 역사에서 재일코리안 스포츠커뮤니티의 역할 과 스포츠활동은 어떤 기여를 했는지 살펴보고자 했다. 2장에서는 재일코리안의 스포츠커뮤니티와 스포츠활동을 ‘국적성’을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 3장에서는 1990 년대 이후 재일코리안 스포츠커뮤니티와 스포츠활동의 특징적 면모를 ‘초국성’ 개 념에 기대어 논의했다. 이러한 논의를 거쳐 이 글은 재일코리안 스포츠커뮤니티와 스포츠활동이 한일스포츠 교류와 발전이라는 차원에서 다문화 공생의 한 방식이 었다는 점에 주목했다.
