The purpose of this study is to design Korean language interpretation and translation classes for multinational Korean language learners based on the theory of multiliteracy and to present specific examples of interpretation and translation activities. To this end, this study conducted a demand survey on Korean language interpretation and translation classes targeting 42 multinational Korean language learners, and through literature research, presented a model of Korean translation and interpretation classes by dividing them into ‘basic building’ and ‘translation practice by genre’. Interpretation and translation tasks for observation, learning, criticism, and application were developed and applied to classes. In the Korean language interpretation and translation class, Korean language learners interpreted and translated original materials of various genres such as dramas, songs, fairy tales, and poetry. Furthermore, the significance of these classes can be found in that they were able to take an interest in the language and culture of learners of other nationalities. In addition, the result of interpretation and translation was reconstructed by inputting subtitles or dubbing in the media, and in this process, learners were able to experience multilingual and multicultural literacy and practice media literacy. However, it is regrettable that this study presents a class case of one semester and does not deal with the effect of class or specific interaction examples of learners.

이 연구는 다국적 한국어 학습자를 위한 한국어 통번역 수업을 다중문식성의 이론에 근거하여 설계하고, 통번역 활동의 구체적인 예를 제시하는 데에 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 42명의 다국적 한국어 학습자를 대상으로 한국어 통번역 수업에 대한 요구조사를 실시하였으며 문헌 연구를 통해 한국어 통번역 수업의 모형을 ‘기초 다지 기’와 ‘장르별 번역 연습’으로 나누어 제시하였다. 또한 각 단계에서 관찰과 학습, 비평, 적용이 종합적으로 이루어질 수 있도록 통번역 과제를 개발하여 수업에 적용하였다. 한 학기에 걸쳐 이루어진 한국어 통번역 수업에서 한국어 학습자들은 드라마, 가요, 동 화, 시 등 다양한 장르의 원본 자료를 통번역하였으며 이를 통해 한국어와 한국 문화뿐 만 아니라 모국어와 모국 문화에 대해서도 깊이 있게 성찰할 수 있었다. 또한 나아가 다른 국적 학습자의 언어와 문화에 대해 관심을 가질 수 있었다는 점에서 이러한 수업 의 의의를 발견할 수 있다. 또한 통번역한 결과물은 미디어 내에 자막을 입력하거나 더 빙하는 방식으로 재구성되었는데 이 과정에서 학습자들은 다중언어와 다중문화에 대 한 문식성을 경험하고, 미디어 문식성을 실천할 수 있었다. 다만 이 연구는 한 학기의 수업 사례를 제시하고 있다는 점, 수업의 효과나 학습자의 구체적인 상호작용 예를 다 루지 못하였다는 점에서 아쉬움이 있다.
