The current society, where an aging society is spreading, will enter a super-aging society by 2050, suggesting that it will become a society centered on the elderly (Statistics Office, 2021). With the recent establishment of a playground for the elderly, it is necessary to construct a color environment considering the visual characteristics of the elderly. The elderly playground, which is appropriately designed in consideration of the characteristics of the elderly, improves user satisfaction and contributes to providing stability in the physical and psychological areas. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out whether the colors of exercise equipment and floor packaging in domestic and foreign playground cases were installed in consideration of the visual characteristics of the elderly. The survey method was limited to overseas cases of playgrounds for the elderly and the color of exercise equipment and floor packaging of playgrounds for the elderly located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The NCS Natural Color System was used for the color survey, and the perception of the playground for the elderly was examined through the survey. The results of this study were derived as follows. Overseas playground sports equipment colors are distributed in achromatic, B-series, PB-series, one-color medium brightness, medium-high chromaticity, and floor packaging is achromatic, R-series, GY-series, BG-series, PB-series, medium-high-lightness, and medium-high chromaticity. The colors of playground exercise equipment for the elderly in Korea are yellow, such as R, YR, Y, and GY, and the floor packaging colors are distributed in R, YR, Y, G, G, BG, PB, achromatic, and low to high. The survey results are as follows. First, it was found that the playground for the elderly had a positive effect on the improvement of physical health and communication of the elderly. Second, the sports equipment description and location were difficult to find because the guide description was not visible, and the sports equipment color and floor color were preferably bright, bright, and fresh images. This study is expected to be used as basic data in the future as a color plan considering the visual characteristics of the elderly as the playground for the elderly is conducted as a color study in which the elderly are the main subjects for healthy old age.

고령화 사회가 확산되고 있는 현 사회는 2050년에 이르면 초고령화 사회로 진입하게 되며, 노인 중심의 사회가 될 것임을 시사한다(통계청, 2021). 최근 노인 들을 위한 노인 놀이터가 설치되면서 노인의 시각적 특 성을 고려한 색채환경이 구성될 필요가 있다. 노인의 특성을 고려하여 적절하게 설계된 노인 놀이터는 사용 자의 만족도를 높여주며 신체적, 심리적 부분에 안정감 을 제공하는데 기여한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내외 놀이터 사례의 운동기구 색과 바닥 포장 색에 대해 노 인의 시각적 특성을 고려해서 설치하였는지 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 조사 방법으로는 노인 놀이터 해외 사례와 서울, 경기도에 위치한 노인 놀이터의 운 동기구 색과 바닥 포장 색으로 한정하였다. 색채 조사 는 NCS 표색계(Natural Color System)를 사용하였으 며, 설문 조사를 통하여 노인 놀이터에 대한 인식을 살 펴보았다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같이 도출되었다. 해 외 노인 놀이터 운동기구 색은 무채색, B계열, PB계열, 한색의 중명도, 중~고채도, 바닥 포장은 무채색, R계 열, GY계열, BG계열, PB계열과 중~고명도, 중~고채 도로 분포되어 있다. 국내 노인 놀이터 운동기구 색은 R계열, YR계열, Y계열, GY계열과 같은 난색 계열로 저~고 명도, 중~고채도, 바닥 포장 색상은 R계열, YR 계열, Y계열, GY계열, G계열, BG계열, PB계열, 무채 색과 저~고명도, 저~고채도로 분포하고 있다. 설문 조 사 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인 놀이터는 노인의 신체 건강증진과 의사소통에 대한 긍정적인 영향을 미 치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 운동기구 설명, 위치 등이 안내 설명 글씨가 안 보여 찾기 힘들다는 의견과 운동 기구 색 부분, 바닥 부분 색은 밝은, 화사한, 산뜻한’ 이미지를 선호하였으며, 운동기구는 한 가지 색이 아닌 신체 부위별로 색 군을 나누어 적용하고 바닥 부분은 색과 함께 문자나 그림 혹은 표시로 전달되어 시각적으 로 쉽게 찾을 수 있고 운동기구 색을 쉽게 인지하여 사용 목적에 따라 구분된다면 운동이 편리해질 수 있다 고 나타났다. 본 연구는 노인 놀이터가 건강한 노년기 를 위한 노인이 주체가 되는 색채연구로 진행함에 노인 의 시각적 특성을 고려한 색채 계획으로 향후 기초적 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대한다.
