The purpose of this study is to examine, compare, and analyze the trends of domestic and international studies on art therapy for seniors. To that end, 130 domestic papers and 33 international papers published in academic journals from 2008 to 2021 were selected and the areas by study year, study subject, study method, and study content were analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program. The results identified in this study are as follows. First, domestic studies showed an increasing trend from 2015 to recent years, while international studies showed a decreasing trend. Second, many of both domestic and overseas studies were conducted with medically diagnosed seniors subjects. Third, the ratio of integrated analysis through experimental studies was high in domestic studies and the ratio of qualitative analysis through case studies was high in foreign studies. In addition, the ratio of use of objective test tools was high both in both domestic and international studies. Fourth, as for the trends by study content, the ratio of groups was high both in both domestic and international studies, and as for treatment goals, the ratio of mixed goals was high in domestic studies and the ratio of psychological health was high in international studies. As for the session composition, the ratio of sessions of 60 to 75 minutes once a week for a total of 9 to 16 weeks was high in domestic studies, but the ratio of studies without session information was high in international studies This study is meaningful in that it analyzed the trends of domestic and international studies on art therapy for seniors and the results can be used as basic data for studies on art therapy for seniors.

본 연구는 국내외 노인미술치료의 연구동향을 살피고 비교 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 2008년부터 2021년까지 학술지에 게재된 국내 130편, 국외 33편의 논문을 선정하여 연 구 연도별, 연구 대상별, 연구 방법별, 연구 내용별 동향을 분석하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 이용하였으며 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국내는 2015년부터 최근까지 연구가 증가 하는 추세를 보였으나 국외의 경우에는 감소하는 추세를 보였다. 둘째, 국내외 모두 일반 노인 대상 연구 보다 의학적 진단을 받은 노인을 대상으로 한 연구가 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 국내는 실험연구를 통한 통합적 분석이, 국외는 사례연구를 통한 질적분석이 높게 나타났다. 또한 검 사도구 사용에서 국내외 모두 투사적 검사도구 보다 객관적 검사도구 사용이 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 국내외 모두 집단 형태가 높게 나타났고 치료목표의 경우, 국내는 다른 영역의 목표를 혼합하는 비율이 높았으며 국외는 심리건강을 중점으로 치료하는 경향이 나타났다. 회기 구성 에서는 국내의 경우 주 1회기, 60∼75분씩 총 9∼16회기가 높은 비율로 나타났으나 국외에서는 회기 구성에 관한 자세한 사항을 미기재한 연구가 높게 나타났다. 본 연구는 국내외 노인미술 치료의 전반적인 동향을 파악함으로써 향후 노인미술치료 연구의 기초자료로 적용될 수 있을 것이다.
