- This secondary analysis study was conducted using raw data from the 2021 Community Health Survey in order to identify factors influencing depression in patients with hypertension and diabetes. Subjects were identified as 2,151 patients (957 men and 1,194 women) in their 40s and older living in Gwangju and Jeonnam and diagnosed with both hypertension and diabetes. The sample of the community health survey was extracted under the Complex Sampling Design, and in this study, a complex sample plan file reflecting stratification, colony variables, and weights was generated, followed by cross-analysis and logistic regression. The results of the study showed that not having a spouse (p=.008), having monthly household income p<.001), worse subjective health status p<.001), greater stress p<.001), pain·discomfort p<.001), are significantly associated with depression in patients with hypertension and diabetes. Based on the results of this study, considering factors influencing depression in patients with hypertension and diabetes, efforts should be made to develop active and systematic interventions by strengthening social support in order to reduce and manage depression in patients with chronic diseases.

- 본 연구는 고혈압과 당뇨병 환자의 우울에 미치는 영향요인을 파악하기 위하여, 2021년 지역사회건강조 사 원시자료를 활용하여 수행한 이차 분석 연구이다. 대상자는 광주전남 지역에 거주하며 고혈압과 당뇨를 모두 가지고 있는 40대 이상 환자 2,151명(남성 957명, 여성 1,194명)으로 파악되었다. 지역사회건강조사의 표본은 복합 표본설계(Complex Sampling Design)하에서 추출되었으며 본 연구에서는 층화변수, 집락변수, 가중치를 반영한 복합표본 계획파일을 생성한 후 교차분석과 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 배우자가 없고(p=.008) 가 구 월수입이 낮을수록(p<.001), 주관적 건강 상태가 나쁠수록(p<.001), 스트레스가 있고(p<.001), 통증·불편이 있 는 경우(p<.001) 고혈압과 당뇨병 환자의 우울이 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 고혈압과 당 뇨병 환자의 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인을 고려하여 만성 질환자의 우울을 감소시키고 관리할 수 있는 사회적 지 원을 강화하는 적극적이고 체계적인 중재 방안을 마련하도록 노력하여야 한다.
