This study aims to develop an educational drama program with masterpeice paintings for fifth graders in elementary school and to examine its positive effects on and implications for students. For these purposes, the researcher selected a group of masterpeice paintings by analyzing elementary Art textbooks and developed an educational drama program by applying the D.I.E inquiry process and using questions based on the LCE aesthetic experience principles. This research program was conducted for 5th grade students of B Elementary School in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, and progressed to the 12th stage of the 6th time. First, the learners acquired values of masterpiece paintings for D.I.E lessons by participating in the program. secondly, the learners were further immersed in the D.I.E program based on masterpeice paintings according to questions based on the LCE aesthetic experience principles, experiencing an emotional agreement with objects and characters and promoting their imagination. Third, the learner showed the attitude of an active appreciator who independently explores and expresses masterpieces and acquired a method of independent art appreciation. These findings have the following implications.This program influenced learners to experience immersion and imagination through emotional matching with characters in masterpiece painting and to form an enhanced aesthetic perspective. In addition, it was found that it had a positive effect on the personality and emotions of 5th graders in elementary school, such as cooperative spirit in peer relationships and improved empathy for others. Finally, it was discovered that the learner became an independent and active appreciator of masterpiece paintings and explored famous paintings. The study is significant in that it can contribute to the development of a convergence program between masterpieces paintings and educational drama. It is hoped that this study will become an example of learners enhanced artistic eye formation and cognitive and emotional development.

본 연구는 초등학교 5학년 교과서 속 명화를 활용한 교육연극 프로그램이 참여자에게 미치는 영향 및 그 시사점을 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 초등학교 미술 교과서 분석을 통해 명화를 선정하고, D.I.E 탐구과정을 적용 및 LCE 심미적 체험원리에 기반한 발문을 활용하여 교육연극 프로그램을 개발하 였다. 이 프로그램은 경기도 시흥의 B 초등학교 5학년 학생 대상으로 총 6회기 12차시로 진행하였고 프로그램 실행 후 다음과 같은 연구 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 본 프로그램의 참여를 통해 학습자는 우선 명화가 지닌 ‘D.I.E 수업’의 가치를 체득하였다. 둘째, 학습자가 LCE 심미적 체험원리에 기반한 발문으로 인해 명화 D.I.E 프로그램에 더욱 몰입하여 사물, 인물과의 감정적 일치를 체험하며 상상력이 증진되었다. 셋 째, 학습자가 명화를 주체적으로 탐구하고 표현하는 능동적 감상자의 자세를 보였으며 자주적인 미술 감상 방법을 획득하였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 다음과 같은 시사점을 지닌다. 본 프로그램은 학습자에게 명화 속 인물과의 감정적 일치를 통한 몰입과 상상의 경험, 고양된 미적 안목의 형성에 영향을 끼쳤다. 그리고 또래 관계의 협동 심, 타인에 대한 공감 능력 향상 등 초등학교 5학년 학생의 인성과 정서에 긍정적 영향을 끼쳤음을 알 수 있었다. 끝으로 학습자가 주체적이고 능동적인 명화 감상자가 되어 명화를 탐구하는 모습을 발견하 였다. 이에 본 연구는 명화와 교육연극이 접목된 융합 프로그램으로 개발될 수 있다는 점에서 큰 의의를 지닌 다. 따라서 본 연구가 학습자의 고양된 미술적 안목 형성 및 인지적, 정서적 발달의 사례가 되기를 기대 한다.
