This thesis first examined the process of women who were captured during the Byeongja Horan and returned after paying a ransom, being abandoned by their in-laws for losing their chastity, focusing on Jang Seon-jing's wife Yoon and Choi Gye-chang's wife Kwon. In addition, the situation in which the women, who were officially excluded from the system of marriage and family, completely disappeared from the records was reviewed, focusing on Myodomun and Annals articles. There was also a figure like Lee Gyeong-seok who clearly revealed his existence in the Myodo script of the head of household despite being kicked out of the family. However, the traces of it were gradually erased from the in-laws as the generations passed, and only traces could be found in the Myodo characters of the father. They were excluded in order to protect the family because they failed to maintain integrity in the records of her husband and son, but there was also a paradoxical situation in which the successors of the family were harmed as a result. In addition, as a result of examining the process of debate surrounding the two, it was confirmed that the generation that experienced war and the generation that did not deal with the scars of war differently, and that there is a bias in treating work within us and outside work differently.

이 논문은 병자호란에서 포로가 되었다가 몸값을 치르고 귀환한 여성들이 정절을 잃었다는 이유로 시댁으로부터 버림받는 과정을 장선징의 아내 윤씨 와 최계창의 아내 권씨를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 그리고 혼인과 가족이라는 제도에서 공식적으로 배제된 그녀들이 기록에서도 그 존재가 아예 사라지는 상황을 묘도문자와 실록 기사를 중심으로 검토했다. 가문에서 내쫓았음에도 불구하고 가장의 묘도문자에 그 존재를 명확하게 밝힌 이경석 같은 인물도 있었다. 하지만 후대로 갈수록 시댁에서는 점차 그 흔적을 지워나갔고, 친정 아버지의 묘도문자에서 겨우 그 자취를 찾을 수 있었다. 남편과 아들의 기록 에서 절개를 지키지 못했다는 이유로, 가문을 지키기 위하여 그녀들을 배제 했으나, 그 후과로 가문의 후계자들이 피해를 입는 역설적인 상황도 있었다. 아울러 두 사람을 둘러싼 논쟁 과정을 살펴본 결과, 전쟁을 체험한 세대와 그렇지 못한 세대가 전쟁의 상흔을 다루는 방식이 달랐고, 우리 안에서의 일 과 바깥에서의 일을 달리 취급하는 편향이 있음도 확인할 수 있었다.
