- Today, the confrontation between the U.S. and China over global governance is intensifying and expanding its area. This can be summarized as a confrontation between Western developed countries centered on the United States and emerging economies centered on China. This has a direct impact on Northeast Asia. In particular, the Korean Peninsula is the place that most clearly shows the ideological confrontation of current global governance. Therefore, this is a crisis of global governance, but also a crisis of Northeast Asia. It is also a matter of choice between the liberal order and the socialist order. At the time of the transition of global governance, I would like to provide an opportunity to think about what choices Korea should make.
