The anti-social life of Shincheonji is because they have been brainwashed into the doctrine of ‘physical immortality’ based on an extreme dualistic worldview. This is based on Shincheonji’s way of understanding of the Millennial Kingdom in Revelation 20, which is the doctrine that the spirits of the 144,000 martyrs and the bodies of the 144,000 Shincheonjian become one (the union of spirit and body) and live eternally in the flesh. It can be said that the reason why many believers have been deceived by the distorted claims of Shincheonji is that the church has not provided sufficient opportunities to study the Book of Revelation. Even among those theologians and pastors who are in the same denomination and claim the same theological perspectives, there are various hermeneutic issues in the book of Revelation. However, the criterion for judgment that does not define each other as heretical is because it recognizes theological diversity within the Christian faith centered on Jesus Christ. The understanding of the Millennial Kingdom is still a subject of debate within the orthodox church. Nevertheless, the Korean church needs to establish a Christ-centered understanding of the Millennial Kingdom that can clearly pastorally cope with Shincheonji’s distorted interpretation of the Bible. Therefore, this study presents the core contents and messages for understanding the Christ-Centered Millennial Kingdom to cope with Shincheonji based on the comparative analysis of Premillennial and Amillennial interpretations, which are the representative views on Revelation 20:1-6.

신천지의 반사회적인 생활은 극단적인 이원론적 세계관에 기초한 ‘육체영생’교리에 세뇌되었기 때문이다. 이는 요한계시록 20장의 천 년왕국에 대한 신천지식 이해에 근거한 것으로 순교한 영 14만 4천과 신천지 신도 14만 4천의 육체가 하나 되어(영육합일) 육체로 영생한다 는 교리이다. 그동안 왜곡된 신천지의 주장에 많은 성도들이 미혹된 것 은 교회에서 요한계시록 교육을 받는 충분한 기회를 제공하지 않았기 때문이라 할 수 있다. 같은 교단과 신학을 표방하고 있는 신학자, 목회 자들 사이에도 요한계시록 안에서 다양한 해석학적 이슈들이 있다. 그러나 서로 이단으로 규정하지 않는 기준은‘예수 그리스도 중심’의 기 독교 신앙 안에서 신학적 다양성을 인정하기 때문이다. 천년왕국에 대 한 이해는 정통교회 안에서 여전히 논쟁의 대상이다. 그럼에도 불구하 고 한국교회는 왜곡된 신천지의 성경해석에 목회적으로 분명하게 대처 할 수 있는 그리스도 중심의 천년왕국 이해를 정립할 필요가 있다. 따 라서 본 연구는 요한계시록 20:1-6의 대표적인 견해인 전천년주의와 무천년주의 해석을 비교 분석하여 신천지에 대처하는 그리스도 중심의 천년왕국 이해를 위한 핵심 내용과 메시지를 제시한다.
