In today's situation where various values and cultures collide, the importance of critical thinking is increasing day by day. However, in moral education, critical thinking based on formal logic has some limitations in that it does not lead to personal growth along with the gap between judgment and practice, and the limitations of self-correction. To overcome these limitations, researchers propose Brandom's Inferentialism and Virtue Epistemology as the epistemological basis of critical thinking. Inferenceism and virtue epistemology can provide an important theoretical basis for setting the direction of critical thinking education in terms of emphasizing the context of social practice, the beliefs and virtues of actors, and the responsibility for judgment and perception. This can have implications in that critical thinking education in moral subject should start in a practical and complex situation, self-correct thinking should be emphasized, dialogue should be emphasized, and the connection between life and practice should be emphasized.

다양한 가치와 문화가 충돌하는 오늘날의 상황에서 비판적 사고의 중요성은 날로 커지고 있다. 그러나 도덕교육에서 형식 논리에 기반한 비판적 사고는 판단과 실천의 괴리, 자기수정의 한계와 함께 인격적 성장으로 이어지지 못한다는 점에서 일정부분 한계를 가진다. 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위해 연구자는 비판적 사고의 인식론적 기반으로 브 랜덤의 추론주의와 덕 인식론을 제안한다. 추론주의와 덕 인식론은 사 회적 실천의 맥락, 행위자의 신념과 덕성, 판단과 인식에 대한 책임을 강조한다는 면에서 도덕과 비판적 사고교육의 방향을 설정하는 중요한 이론적 기반을 마련해줄 수 있다. 이는 앞으로 도덕과 비판적 사고교 육이 실제적이고 복잡한 상황에서 시작해야 한다는 점, 자기수정적 사 고가 강조되어야 한다는 점, 대화를 강조해야 한다는 점, 삶과 실천의 연결성을 강조해야 한다는 점에서 시사점을 줄 수 있다.
