Although the number of crimes committed by youth has decreased, it cannot be concluded that it has decreased when the number of youth is taken into account. The type of crime is very violent and brutal, and the recidivism rate is also high, making the problem of youth crime even more serious. The main cause of juvenile delinquency is aggression, and in order to reduce juvenile delinquency, it is necessary to pay attention to aggression and prepare measures to reduce it. Among various factors that reduce aggression, studies have reported that grit, a concept similar to resilience, reduces depression and aggression. Therefore, in this study, we tried to verify that depression would have a mediating effect in the process of grit affecting aggression. As a result of the study, it was found that grit had a negative effect on depression, and depression had a positive effect on aggression. In addition, it was found that grit had a negative effect on aggression, and in the end, it was found that depression had a mediating effect in the process of grit affecting aggression. Also, in the results of bootstrapping to verify the mediating effect, it was found that grit affects aggression through depression.

청소년들의 범죄 건수는 줄어들었지만 청소년 인구수를 감안하면 감소하였다 고 단정 지을 수는 없으며 범죄 유형은 매우 폭력적이고 흉포화 되었고 재범률 또한 높아 청소년 범죄 문제는 더욱 심각해졌다. 청소년 범죄의 주요 원인은 공 격성으로 청소년 범죄를 감소시키기 위해서는 공격성에 관심을 갖고 이를 줄일 수 있는 방안 마련이 필요한데 공격성을 감소시키는 다양한 요인 중 그릿은 회 복탄력성과 유사한 개념으로 우울 및 공격성을 감소시킨다는 연구 결과들이 보 고되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 그릿이 공격성에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 우울 이 매개효과가 있을 것이라고 보고 이에 대해 검증하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 그릿(Grit)는 우울에 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 우울은 공격성에 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 그릿(Grit)은 공격성에 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 결국 그릿(Grit)이 공격성에 영향을 미치는 과정에 서 우울이 매개효과가 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 매개효과의 검증을 위하여 붓스트래핑을 실시한 결과에서도 그릿(Grit)는 우울을 매개로 공격성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
