The reason why the issue of salvation is important in Munyeodo is that shamanism, which forms a subculture, is placed on an equal footing with Christianity, the so-called higher religion. Shamanism differs from established religions in that it is more interested in the real world than in the transcendent world, which mainly pursues posthumous salvation by the absolute. Salvation can be said to be a kind of resolution of tragedy. The process of resolving tragedy in shamanism is not in the dichotomous space of transcendence and reality, or the sacred and the profane, but is accomplished by the shaman's reenactment at the boundary between them. The boundary or the space in between takes on the attributes of a ritual and is sometimes a place where external space is converted into internal space and internal space is converted into external space. Therefore, the shaman 'Mohwa' located in the boundary station needs to be illuminated not only as a priest but also as a natural person. ‘Mohwa’ moves toward the world of salvation with its own self-identity, not with magical powers and mysteries. The death of ‘Mohwa’ is not a ‘trance’ state, but the result of ‘Mowha’s obvious conscious actions. In this paper, while keeping in mind the appearance of the shaman 'Mohwa' as a natural person, I tried to look at a group of shamanic salvation that prioritizes the solution of real problems.

「무녀도」에서 구원의 문제가 중요한 이유는 하위문화를 이루는 무속이 소위 고등 종교 인 기독교와 대등한 위치에 놓여있기 때문이다. 무속은 초월계보다는 현실계에 대한 관심 이 더 크다는 점에서, 주로 절대자에 의한 사후 구원을 추구하는 기성종교와 차이가 있다. 구원은 일종의 비극의 해소라 할 수 있다. 무속에서 비극의 해소 과정은 초월과 현실, 혹은 성(俗)과 속(聖)의 이분법적 공간이 아니라, 그 사이, 경계에서 무당의 추체험에 의해 이루어진다. 그 경계 혹은 사이의 공간은 제의의 속성을 띠며 때로 외부공간의 내부공간 화, 내부공간의 외부공간화가 이루어지는 곳이다. 따라서 경계역에 위치한 무당 ‘모화’는 사제로서의 모습만이 아니라 자연인으로서의 특성도 함께 조명될 필요가 있다. ‘모화’는 주술과 신비라는 마력(魔力)이 아니라 엄연한 자기 주체를 가지고 구원의 세계로 나아간 다. ‘모화’의 죽음은 ‘접신’ 상태에서 이뤄진 것이 아니라, ‘모화’의 명백한 의식적 행동의 결과이다. 본고에서는 무당 ‘모화’의 자연인으로서의 모습을 염두에 두면서, 현실문제(怨 이나 恨 등)의 해결을 우선시하는 무속적 구원의 일단을 살피고자 했다.
