Police activities after the recent introduction of the autonomous police system are intended to meet the expectations of local residents through the rapidly changing public security environment and the establishment of local-specific law enforcement policies. The purpose of this study was to identify the factors affecting the public security service of the police on the local resident’s satisfaction towards the police and to investigate the relationship of the effect on the local police service. In order to proceed with this study, the online community was deduced as antecedent factors and hypotheses were derived as the antecedent factors such as local co-production, community consciousness, openness of local police, and the recent increase in the importance of online communities. An empirical study was conducted with local residents to verify the derived hypothesis. The survey was conducted in parallel with an in-person interview and online e-mail survey. The main hypothesis test results are as follows; First, it was found that the more the regional co-production, the higher the awareness of security in the region. Second, when the police perceive that the sense of community is high, it could be seen that the local security in the area is higher. The third is that, in terms of police service, when local residents and online communities are of high quality, local residents tend to perceive that security is better. This was an analysis result showing the importance of the online channel as a way for communicating and forming a consensus with local residents. And it was confirmed again that the higher the awareness of security among local residents, the higher their satisfaction with the local police service. Finally, the higher the awareness of the police service, the higher the results of the police service.

최근 자치경찰제 도입 이후의 경찰 활동은 급변하는 치안환경의 변화와 지역 맞춤형 치안정책 수립을 통해 지역주민의 기대에 부응하고자 한다. 경찰의 치안서비스가 주민의 경찰만족도에 미치는 영향 요인에 대하여 파악하고 지역 경찰 서비스에 미치는 영향 관계를 규명하고자 하였다 본 연구를 진행하기 위하여 선행요인을 지역 공동생산, 지역 공동체 의식, 지역 경찰 개방성 그리고 최근 온라인 채널의 중요성 증가로 인하여 온라인 커뮤니티 등을 선행 요인으로 도출하고 가설을 도출하였다. 도출 된 가설을 검증하고자 지역 주민 대상으로 실증연구를 진행하였다. 지역 주민 286명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 방법은 대인면접조사, 온라인 이메일 병행하여 조사를 진행하였다. 주요 가설 검증 결과를 보면 다음과 같다. 첫째 지역 공동생산이 많을수록 해당 지역에서의 치안에 대한 인식 높음 알 수 있었다. 두 번째는 경찰이 지역 공동체 의식이 높다라고 인식하는 경우는 해당 지역에서 지역 치안이 더 높음을 알 수 있다. 세 번째는 이는 경찰 서비스 차원에서 지역 주민들과 온라인 커뮤니티가 수준이 높은 경우는 해당 지역 주민들이 치안이 더 좋다라고 인식하는 경향이 있다는 것이다. 이는 최근 지역 주민들과 소통하고 공감대를 형성하는 채널로써 온라인 채널의 중요성을 볼 수 있는 분석결과였다. 그리고 지역 주민들이 치안에 대한 인식이 높을수록 지역 경찰 서비스에 만족도는 높아짐을 다시 확인하는 결과였다. 끝으로 경찰 서비스의 치안의 인식이 높을수록 경찰 서비스 또한 높은 결과를 보여주었다.
