Field discourse is discussed in physics, psychology, literature, philosophy, and sociology. In this paper, we examine the discussions related to the field theory, focusing on 󰡔Zhuangzi󰡕 and Bourdieu, and attempt to establish and expand this theory. This consideration conforms to the field theory required by modern society. This is because we now live with the idea of the personalization of responsibility—the problem of a system that holds individuals accountable. A community mindset that all beings are linked to each other is required, away from passing on responsibility to individuals. Here, field theory can present a theoretical basis, where the field can mean the environment, situation, position, area, or structure. In this paper, the field theory of 󰡔Zhuangzi󰡕 and Bourdieu focuses on the correlation between the subject and the field and the overlap of the field. Through this, we intend to establish and expand field theory so that it can live to reality.

장(場)은 물리학, 심리학, 문학, 철학, 사회학 등에서 거론된다. 본고에서는 다양한 분야에서 논의된 장 담론을 『장자』와 부르디외를 중심으로 고찰하며 장이론의 정립과 확장을 시도한다. 이를 통해 현대 사회가 요구하는 장이론에 부합하도록 한다. 지금 우리는 ‘책임의 개인화-개인에게 책임 지우는 시스템의 문제’를 안고 살고 있기 때문이다. 이에 개인에게 책임을 전가하는 것에서 벗어나 서로 연계되어 있다는 공동체적 사고가 요청되는바 여기에 장이론이 이론적 근거를 제시할 수 있다. 장은 환경, 상황, 입장, 영역, 구조 등의 의미를 갖는다. 본고에서는 『장자』와 부르디외의 장 담론을 ‘주체와 장의 상관성’과 ‘장의 중첩’에 집중하여 고찰하고, 이를 통해 현실에 부응한 장이론의 정립과 확장을 모색하고자 한다.
