This paper reveals that Japan is positioning itself at the center of the international cooperation network and strengthening its identity as a great power while taking the initiative in establishing a project identity based on value diplomacy by othering China. By intensively analyzing the expression of relations with China recorded in the Japanese Diplomatic Bluebook and the National Assembly records, it tracks changes in the perception of China and “one China.” Japan is wary of the PRC and seeks solidarity with the Republic of China. At the same time, Japan defines itself and China as great powers, seeks cooperation for peace and stability in the region and the world, and builds multilayered relations with China.

본 연구는 일본이 중국이라는 타자에 대해 가치 외교에 기반한 기획 정체성을 주도 적으로 구축해가면서 국제 협력 네트워크의 중심에 일본을 위치시키고 대국으로의 정 체성을 강화하고 있음을 밝힌다. 일본 외교청서와 국회의사록에 기록된 중국과의 관계 표현을 집중적으로 분석함으로써, 중국과 ‘하나의 중국’에 대한 인식의 변화를 추적한 다. 일본은 중화인민공화국을 경계하고, 중화민국과 연대하면서도 동시에 일본과 중국 을 ‘대국’으로 규정하고, 지역과 세계의 평화와 안정을 위한 협력방안을 모색하며 중국 과 중층적인 관계를 형성해가고 있다

本研究は、日本が中国という他者に対して価値外交に基づいた企画アイデンティティ を主導的に構築しながら、国際協力ネットワークの中心に日本を位置させ、大国として のアイデンティティを強化していることを明らかにする。日本の外交青書と国会議事録 に記録された中国との関係表現を集中的に分析することで、中国と｢一つの中国｣に対す る認識の変化を追跡する。日本は中華人民共和国を警戒し、中華民国と連帯しながら も、同時に日本と中華人民共和国を大国と規定し、地域と世界の平和と安定のための協 力策を模索し、中国と重層的な関係を築いている。
