Recently, the theme of aging has been in vogue. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the social role and change in perception of the elderly. This study tried to understand the elderly as active subjects of life beyond the boundaries of objectification of social problems from loss of role and social isolation. Therefore, I tried to understand the experience of living lab activities of the elderly, what kind of change process appears through the experience, and to find out the characteristics of the elderly's serious leisure experience. As a research method, case studies were used among various qualitative research methods. As a result of the study, the elderly appear as spectators in the early days of Living Lab activities and become disrupters due to their rejection of outsiders' visits to the park. However, as a consensus on the Living Lab issue is formed, it becomes a cooperative relationship, forming another relationship by working together to solve problems, and transforms into a subject that the elderly make themselves. In this process, it develops into a mediator and devotee who supports and supports colleagues, and shows new possibilities as a reproducer of play. The characteristics of the elderly's serious leisure experience were a sense of belonging through the ritual process of the community, companionship through letting go and devotion, and happiness through giving and sharing. In conclusion, the elderly's leisure activities are not seen as a time to achieve simple pleasure and satisfaction, but suggest the possibility of new changes in the individual's inner value and social role.

최근 나이 듦이라는 테마가 유행이다. 이에 노인에 대한 사회적 역할과 인식 변화에 주 목해 볼 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 노인을 역할상실과 사회적 고립으로부터의 사회문제 대상 화라는 경계를 넘어 삶의 적극적인 활동 주체로 이해하고자 하였다. 이에 노인의 리빙랩 활동 경험을 이해하고 그 경험을 통해 어떠한 변화과정이 나타나는지와 노인의 진지한 여 가 경험의 특성을 밝혀내고자 하였다. 연구방법으로는 다양한 질적연구방법 중에서도 사례 연구를 활용하였다. 연구결과 노인들은 리빙랩 활동의 초창기에는 구경꾼으로 등장하면서 외부인의 공원 방문에 대한 거부감으로 훼방꾼이 된다. 그러나 리빙랩 이슈에 대한 공감대 가 형성되면서 협력관계가 되고, 문제해결을 위해 함께함으로써 또다른 관계를 형성하며 노인들 스스로 만들어가는 주체로 변모된다. 이 과정에서 동료들을 지지하며 지원하는 중 재자로, 헌신자로 발전되어 놀이의 재현가로서 새로운 가능성을 보여준다. 노인들의 진지 한 여가 경험의 특성은 공동체의 의례 과정을 통한 소속감, 내려놓음과 헌신을 통한 동료 애, 베풂과 나눔을 통한 행복감으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 노인들의 여가활동은 단순한 즐 거움과 만족감을 이루는 시간으로 보기가 아닌 개인의 내면적 가치와 사회적 역할에 대한 새로운 변화의 가능성을 제시하였다.
