Yongsung-Jinjong published Rukjodangyeong-Yoyeok in Korean translation for traditional Tánjng(壇經). The title was Yoyeok, but it was not just a translation of Korean-language, but rather a text showing Yongsung's own unique views on several places in the text. Yoyeok is divided into two parts: form and comment. Five modified forms were added to form, and five views were added to the aspect of comment. The five forms are as follows: First, the beginning part was newly set up; second, the contents of the text were set to 13 paragraphs. Third, there are parts that add new contents to the existing contents, and there is part that omits the contents of this article. Fourth, the order of the text is related to the contents and rearranged accordingly. Fifth, the original text was omitted in full and a Korean-centered translation was made. The five contents are as follows: First, the part of the relationship between animate-life and inanimate-life is explained by dividing it into two parts. Second, the new understanding of the word that the wind moves, the flag moves, and the mind moves are the part that showed Yongsung's own view of performance and enlightenment. Third, Dhyāna and Prajñā are identical body, where Dhyāna means performance, and Prajñā means enlightenment. Fourth, the previous and later thoughts are related to the mind and the Buddha, and they are compared with water. Fifth, the three bodies and four wisdoms were explained in relation. Yongsung's Korean translation was based on Tánjng. However, the format for the paragraph, and Yongsung himself added annotations, created a personality that transcended pure translations. This is the important feature of Yongsung's Rukjodangyeong-Yoyeok.

용성은 전통의 덕이본 『단경』에 대하여 한글번역으로 『륙조단경요역』을 출간하였다. 제명은 요역(要譯)이라고 말했지만, 단순히 한글의 번역에 그 친 것이 아니라 본문의 몇 군데에 해당하는 곳에는 용성 자신의 독특한 견해를 보여주는 주해를 붙였다. 『요역』에는 크게 구성 형식의 측면에서는 다섯 가지의 변형을 가하였고, 주해의 내용과 관련해서도 다섯 군데에 걸 쳐 개인의 견해를 보여주었다. 구성 형식으로는 첫째는 처음 부분에 도입하는 대목을 설정, 둘째는 본 문의 내용을 13분과로 설정, 셋째는 기존의 내용에 첨가와 생략을 가함, 넷째는 본문의 순서를 내용과 결부하여 재배치, 다섯째는 원문을 전면적으 로 생략하고 한글 위주의 번역본을 만들었다. 내용에 대한 주해의 측면은 첫째는 유정과 무정에 대한 전법게송을 사 (事)와 이(理)의 측면으로 이해, 둘째는 풍동(風動)과 번동(幡動)과 심동 (心動)의 문답에 대해서 성(性)과 상(相)과 본심(本心)에 대한 내용으로 이해, 셋째는 정혜(定慧)에 대한 용성 자신의 견해를 보여준 점, 넷째는 전념과 후념을 즉심 및 즉불과 관련시켜 이해하고 물을 비유로 내세움, 다섯째는 삼신과 사지를 관련시켜 설명한 점이다. 용성의 한글의 번역은 덕이본 『단경』에 의거하였지만, 분과의 구성형식 과 용성 자신의 주해를 가미했다는 점에서 순수한 번역본 이상의 의미를 지닌다는 점에서 일명 용성본 『단경』이라고 명명할 수가 있다.
