Purpose: The purpose of this study was to diagnose whether the elementary school teachers' childbearing motivation is affected by the teacher-student relationship and can be a factor that hinders their childbirth and parenting. Methods: The teacher-student relationship and their childbearing motivation were measured for 121 elementary school teachers nationwide. SPSS 29.0 was used for frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed. Results: First, the teacher-student relationship and the elementary school teachers’ childbearing motivation were somewhat high. Second, as a result of analyzing the correlation between the teacher-student relationship and the elementary school teachers’ childbearing motivation, it was confirmed that there was a very low correlation between them. Third, the total explanatory power of the effect of teacher-student relationship on the elementary school teachers' childbearing motivation was low at around 10%. Conclusion: In addition to the independent variables set in this study, this research suggests that other variables that affect the childbearing motivation are strongly working, and the teacher-student relationship has the possibility to function as a mediating variable or control variable that affects elementary school teachers’ childbearing motivation. Also, this study believes that Childbearing motivation can be strongly controlled by genetic conditions and experiences at a specific time, and suggests that further research about childbearing motivation needs to be conducted from the perspective of genetic variables and timing of childbearing motivation development.

[연구목적] 본 연구는.본 연구는 아동과 밀접한 관계를 맺는 초등학교 교사의 부모 됨의 동기가 교사-학생 관계로부터 영향을 받는지 확인하여 자녀 출산 및 양육을 저해 하는 요인이 될 수 있는지 진단하고자 한다. [연구방법] 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 전국에 있는 초등학교 교사 121명을 대상으로 교사-학생 관계와 부모됨의 동기를 측정하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 SPSS 29.0이 사용되었으며, 빈도분석, 기술통계, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. [연구결과] 주요 연구결과는 첫째, 초등학교 교사가 인식하는 교사-학생 관계와 부 모됨의 동기는 다소 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 교사-학생과의 관계와 부모됨의 동기간에는 매우 낮은 상관이 존재하는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 교사-학생과의 관계가 초등학교 교사의 부모됨의 동기에 미치는 영향의 총 설명력이 10% 내외로 낮았다. [결론] 본 연구에서 설정한 독립 변인들 외에도 부모됨의 동기에 영향을 미치는 다 른 변인들이 강하게 작용하고 있음을 시사하며 교사-학생과의 관계가 초등학교 교사의 부모됨의 동기에 영향을 미치는 매개 변인 또는 조절 변인으로서 기능할 수 있는 가능 성을 내포한다. 또한, 본 연구는 부모됨의 동기가 유전적인 조건, 특정 시기의 경험에 의해서도 강하게 통제될 수 있다고 보고, 향후 부모됨의 동기에 대한 연구가 이러한 관 점에서도 추가적으로 진행될 필요가 있음을 제안한다.
