This research will focus on ethnic education for Zainichi Koreans in the public education field of Osaka, Japan. The purpose is to confirm the position of Zainichi Korean's next generation. Through the current situation of the students who gather in the ethnic class and their educational issues, we will raise a problem for Japanese society and the next generation of Zainichi Koreans. Today, most of the children in ethnic classes are of Japanese nationality. In the human rights and social movements of Zainichi Koreans, in the past, it was the nationality and honest name that was protected as true selves. However, today it is no longer possible to express the real self with only nationality and name. Currently, in the ethnic class, we create a new ethnic name (이름ilum) to express ourselves as someone with roots on the Korean Peninsula. This can be considered an alternative act to declaring nationality and real name.

본 연구는 일본 오사카 지역 공교육 현장에서 실시하는 재일동포들의 민족 교육 의 장 ‘민족학급(모국어학급, 민족클럽, 월드클래스 등)’을 중심으로, 재일동포 차 세대들 현재 위치를 확인하는 것에 목적을 두고자 한다. 민족학급에 모이는 학생 들 현황과 그들에 대한 교육 과제를 통해 일본 사회 및 재일동포 차세대에 대한 하 나의 문제 제기를 한다. 오늘날 민족학급에 모이는 학생들은 대부분 일본 국적자 이다. 재일동포의 운동 속에서 과거에는 진정한 자신을 나타내는 것, 소중히 지켜 야만 하는 것이 ‘국적’그리고 ‘본명’이었다면, 오늘날 국적과 아름 만으로 ‘진짜 자 신’(즉 재일동포임)을 나타낼 수 없게 되었다. 현재 민족학급에서는 자신을 ‘한반 도에 루트가 있는 자’라고 나타내며 민족명(이름/이루무)을 새롭게 만들어낸다. 이는 기존의 국적, 본명을 선언하는 것의 대체적인 행위로 볼 수 있다.
