This paper aims to examine how outsider witness conversation can be applied to the practice of hospitality as a community of faith in parenting counseling for Christian working mothers. Outsider witness conversation is a necessary process for the re-authoring of life stories in Narrative therapy. For parenting counseling of working mothers, we will explore the use of the outside witness approach of Narrative therapy and examine what it means as a practice of hospitality as a community of faith. In the case of a working mother, she experiences various psychological stress and conflicts between her two roles: a caregiver raising a child and an office worker. The recent trend of working mother parenting counseling in Korea is to qualitatively analyze the experience of parenting counseling or to examine the effect on parenting efficacy and parenting guilt. In particular, efforts to deal with parenting stress through analysis of group counseling programs for working mothers and a mindful approach have increased. The directions of the recent research trend seek to promote positive feelings about parenting by increasing feelings of parenting efficacy or self-compassion rather than parenting guilt experienced by parenting mothers. Outsider witness conversation of Narrative therapy has the advantage of being able to objectively reflect on oneself by sharing the stories of others about one's own situation, discovering one's own strengths, and reconstructing the stories of identity as a caregiver. Therefore, using an outsider witness conversation in parenting counseling helps working mothers to reflect on their own parenting through the reflection of an objective position. It will also be an opportunity to expand the identity stories that contains the values and ideals of parenting mothers, which are the working principles that determine the parenting behavior of caregivers. By examining what it means to apply an outsider witness conversation in parenting counseling, it is hoped that this will serve as a basis for empirical research in which outsider witness conversation is used in future Christian counseling.

본 논문은 기독교인 워킹 맘의 양육 상담에서 외부증인 대화가 신앙 공동체로써의 환대 실천으로 어떻게 적용될 수 있는지 살펴보고자 한다. 외부증인 대화란 이야기치 료에서 삶의 이야기 다시 쓰기를 위해 필요한 과정이다. 워킹 맘의 경우 아이를 양육 하는 양육자와 일을 하는 직장인으로서의 두 역할 사이에서 다양한 심리적 스트레스 와 갈등을 경험한다. 국내 워킹맘 양육 상담의 최근 동향은 양육 상담에서의 경험을 질적으로 분석하거나 양육효능감과 양육 죄책감에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고 있다. 특 히 워킹 맘을 대상으로 하는 집단상담 프로그램에 대한 분석 및 마음 챙김의 접근을 통한 양육 스트레스를 다루려는 노력이 증가하였다. 최근 연구 동향의 방향성은 양육 모들이 경험하는 양육 죄책감보다는 양육 효능감이나 자기 자비의 감정을 증가시킴으 로써 양육에 대한 긍정적인 감정을 스스로 촉진하는 것을 추구한다. 이야기치료의 외 부증인 대화는 자기 삶의 이야기에 대한 타인의 반영을 공유하는 과정에서 자신을 객 관적으로 성찰할 수 있고, 강점을 발견할 수 있으며 양육자로서의 정체성 이야기가 재구성될 수 있다. 따라서 기독교인 워킹 맘 양육 상담에서 이야기치료의 외부증인 (outsider witness)대화 적용을 탐색하고, 신앙 공동체로서의 환대 실천에 어떤 의미를 남기는지 살펴볼 것이다. 상담 종결에 참여한 외부증인의 반영을 통해 워킹 맘은 자 신의 양육 방식을 성찰할 수 있고, 양육자 양육 행동을 결정하는 작동 원리인 양육 모의 가치와 이상을 담고 있는 정체성 이야기를 확장할 수 있다. 기독교인 워킹 맘 양육 상담에서 외부증인 대화를 적용하는 것은 공감과 공명의 공유로 신앙 공동체가 돈독해지고, 이 과정은 결국 긍정적인 정서를 경험하는 환대 실천의 일환이 될 수 있 을 것이다. 기독교인 양육 상담에서 외부증인 대화가 활용될 수 있는 기반 연구가 될 수 있기를 기대하는 바이다.
