This study suggests the direction of military human rights education by studying the improvement plan through the actual condition of military human rights education. For the purpose of the study, the method of role play was used. The research results are as follows. First, education should be conducted to understand the human rights of soldiers and to recognize the necessity and importance of respecting human rights through watching related videos, reproducing human rights violations as a perpetrator and victim, and re-examining the feelings about the incident. Second, in order to provide human rights education using role plays, educational plays that are used for education, not general role plays, should be conducted. Third, culture and arts education programs operated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of National Defense for military personnel should be utilized. Through this study, through a role play in which trainees directly participate in human rights education, rather than simply reading the case study, learn to become the perpetrator of human rights violations, take the position of the victim, recognize the importance of human rights issues, and respect human rights. It is hoped that a lively barracks living culture will be created in the midst of this.

본 연구는 군인 인권교육의 실태조사를 통해 개선방안을 연구하여 군 인권교육의 방향성을 제 시한 것이다. 연구목적을 위해 역할극의 방법을 활용하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 군 인의 인권을 이해하며 관련 동영상 시청과 직접 가해자와 피해자가 되어 인권침해 사건을 재현 해보고 그 사건에 대한 감정을 다시 살피는 역할극을 통해 인권 존중에 대한 필요성과 중요성 을 인식하게 하는 교육을 해야 한다. 둘째, 역할극을 활용한 인권교육을 하기 위해서는 일반적 인 역할극이 아닌 교육용으로 이용되는 교육연극을 해야 한다. 셋째, 문화체육관광부와 국방부 가 군 장병을 위해 운영하는 문화예술교육 프로그램을 활용해야 한다. 본 연구를 통해 인권교육 을 사례를 그대로 읽기만 하며 교육하는 것이 아닌 교육생들이 직접 참여하는 역할극을 통해 직접 인권침해를 하는 가해자가 되어보고, 피해자 입장이 되어보며 인권 문제에 대한 중요성을 인식하고 인권이 존중된 가운데 활기찬 병영생활 문화가 조성되길 기대한다.
