Since the stem-cell thesis manipulation incident in 2005, various forms of education have been continuously strengthened to improve research ethics awareness and establish a responsible research culture. However, changing the perception levels of researchers still has limitations. In reality, even in universities, discussion-type education is challenging to implement. Moreover, before unilateral education is implemented, the current level of consciousness should be checked, and then educational content should be supplemented, improved, and systematic education needed in the research field. To this end, researchers who have received various types of research ethics education need a tool to check the level of ethical consciousness. To develop a tool to check the level of research ethics awareness, this study conducted an item suitability analysis using the Polytomous Rasch Model for five areas of research ethics consciousness after referring to previous studies in Korea and abroad. The significance of this study is that it has developed a survey tool to measure changes in general-purpose research ethics that can be used not only in cyber education for research ethics but also in special lectures and online education. It is expected that the effectiveness of the measurement tool derived through this study will be further confirmed if a sufficient amount of survey response data is accumulated for these learners after a special lecture and real-time online research ethics education for universities and research institutes nationwide.

2005년 줄기세포 논문 조작 사건 이후 연구윤리 의식의 향상과 책임 있는 연구문화 정착을 위한 다양한 형태의 교육이 지속 제공되고 있 다. 하지만, 연구자의 인식 수준을 변화시키는 것에 대한 한계도 동시 에 겪고 있다. 현실적으로 대학에서조차 토론형 교육의 실행이 쉽지 않다는 점을 고려할 때, 일방적인 교육을 제공하기 전에 연구윤리에 대한 현재의 의식 수준을 점검해야 한다. 그런 후 부족한 부분에 대한 교육 콘텐츠를 보완, 개선하여 연구 현장에서 필요한 교육을 체계적으 로 제공해야 한다. 이를 위해서는 여러 가지 형태의 연구윤리 교육을 받은 학습자의 윤리 의식 수준을 확인하는 도구가 필요하다. 본 연구 에서는 연구윤리지수 등에 관한 국내외 선행연구를 참고한 후 연구윤 리 의식을 5개의 영역에 대해 Polytomous Rasch Model을 활용하여 문항 적합도 분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구의 의의는 사이버 연구윤리 교육뿐만 아니라 특강형, 온라인교육 등에서 사용할 수 있는 범용 연 구윤리 의식 변화 측정용 설문 도구를 개발한 것이라 할 수 있다. 전 국 대학(원) 및 연구기관에 대한 특강형, 실시간 온라인형 연구윤리 교 육을 시행한 후 이들 학습자로부터 얻은 충분한 수량의 설문 응답 데이터를 분석하게 되면 본 연구에서 도출한 측정 도구의 유효성이 추가 로 확인되리라 기대한다.
