The global economy is showing a phenomenon of prolonged stagnation due to imbalances and controls in the supply and demand of energy and food due to the deepening trade conflict between the United States and China and the war between Russia and Ukraine. It is not easy to determine the direction of the policy. In particular, the situation is more difficult because of the strengthening of protectionism in the US and the correlation of export routes due to the export-dependent economic structure of the Korean economy. In addition, changes in the industrial paradigm, such as the rapid development of new technologies that emerged from the 4th industrial revolution and the convergence of manufacturing and service industries through ICT, are in urgent need of securing competitive advantage and sustainability. Although it is getting darker, there is a lack of research on the core competencies related to the survival and growth of SMEs. Considering the scarce resources of SMEs, it is necessary to strengthen specialization and centralized core competencies rather than strengthening core competencies in all sectors. have. This study defines transformational leadership, innovation competency, and organizational management competency as core competencies of SMEs, and confirms the influence between these competencies and corporate performance.

글로벌 경제는 미국과 중국의 무역 갈등 심화, 러시아와 우크라이나 간의 전쟁으로 인한 에너지와 식량 등의 수급 불균형과 통제로 침체가 장기 고착화 하는 현상을 보이고 있고, 국내경제는 정치와 경제의 혼돈 속에서 국가경제정책의 방향성을 정하기가 용이하지 않은 상황이다. 특히 미국의 보호무역주의 기조의 강화와 한국경제의 수출의존형 경제구 조에 기인한 수출경로의 상호연관성 때문에 더욱 어려운 상황이다. 또한 제4차 산업혁명 으로 나타난 신기술의 급격한 개발과 ICT를 통한 제조업과 서비스업의 융합 등 산업 페러다임의 변화는 경쟁우위와 지속가능성의 확보가 절실해진 현 상황에서 자본과 인력 이 취약한 국내 중소기업의 미래는 더욱 어두워지고 있다. 그러나 국내 선행연구가 대부분 소비재 및 소비자 중심의 마케팅, 대기업 기준의 연구에 집중되어 있어 중소기업의 생존과 성장에 관련한 핵심역량과 관련한 연구는 부족한 현실이다. 중소기업의 부족한 자원을 고려하면 전 부문에 대한 핵심역량의 강화보다는 전문화, 집중화된 핵심역량의 강화가 필요하며, 그 핵심역량으로는 중소기업의 특성 상 변혁적 리더십과 혁신 역량 그리고 조직관리 역량을 들 수 있다. 본 연구는 지속성장가능성 확보를 위한 중소기업의 핵심역량 으로 변혁적 리더십, 혁신역량, 조직관리 역량을 정의하고 이들 역량과 기업성과 간의 영향을 확인하였다.
