This study was conducted with the aim of providing basic data on maker education in the field of elementary school physical education expression by exploring the applicability of maker education in the field of elementary school physical education expression. In order to achieve this research purpose, a literature study was conducted with the contents of the analysis of prior research trends related to elementary school physical education, the relationship between elementary school physical education and maker education, and the search for the value and direction of maker education in elementary school physical education. As a result of the study, first, it was analyzed that the value and possibility of maker education in the field of elementary school physical education expression were sufficient. Second, the area of expression and the philosophical orientation of maker education are similar. Third, the curriculum content and education method in the area of expression are highly related to the educational content and education method of maker education. Therefore, it is judged that the value of maker education in the field of physical education and expression in elementary school is sufficient and the applicability is high.Therefore, in order for maker education to be successful in the field of physical expression in elementary schools, it is necessary to provide a free atmosphere to creatively devise motion expression works, provide a digital environment to explore various movement principles, expression movements, and expert works. The conclusion of this study is that maker education in the field of elementary school physical education is very suitable as one of the future education, and in order to express its value, efforts and research to expand maker education and teacher education in the field of elementary school physical education must be actively conducted.

본 연구는 초등학교 체육 표현 영역에서의 메이커 교육의 적용 가능성을 탐색해 봄으로써 초등학교 체육 표현 영역 에서의 메이커 교육의 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적을 두고 수행되었다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 초등학 교 체육과 관련한 선행연구 동향 분석, 초등학교 체육 표현영역과 메이커교육의 관련성, 초등학교 체육 표현영역에 서의 메이커 교육의 가치와 방향 탐색을 연구 내용으로 하여 문헌연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 초등학교 체 육 표현 영역에서의 메이커 교육의 가치와 가능성이 충분한 것으로 분석되었다. 메이커 교육에서 강조하고 있는 Thinkering(발상) 과정과 제작, 공유의 과정이 표현 과정과 일치하여, 적용 가능성이 높다. 둘째, 표현 영역과 메이 커 교육의 철학적 지향점이 유사하다. 두 영역은 공통적으로 주제 중심, 학습자 중심, 체험학습의 과정이나 경험 중 시, 융합적 주제 제시 등의 원리를 강조하며, 독창적인 사람, 창의적인 사람 등을 지향한다는 점에서 일맥상통한다. 셋째, 표현 영역의 교육과정 내용, 교육 방법은 메이커 교육의 교육 내용과 교육 방법과 연관성이 높다. 따라서 초 등학교 체육과 표현 영역에서의 메이커 교육의 가치는 충분하며, 적용 가능성이 높다고 판단된다. 따라서 실제 초 등학교 체육 표현 영역에서 메이커 교육이 성공적으로 실시되기 위해서는 창의적으로 움직임 표현 작품을 구상할 수 있는 자유로운 분위기 제공, 다양한 움직임 원리, 표현 동작, 전문가 작품 등을 탐색할 수 있는 디지털 환경 제 공, 메이커스페이스 교실로의 변화, 다양한 소품과 음악 제공과 관리, 초등교사의 체육 표현 메이커교육의 전문성 확보 및 메이커 활동 연구 지원이 활성화되어야 한다. 이러한 연구 통해 결론은 초등학교 체육 표현 영역에서의 메이커교육은 미래 교육 중 하나의 방안으로 매우 적합하며 그 가치가 발현되기 위해서는 초등학교 체육 표현 영역 에서의 메이커 교육 및 교사교육 확대를 위한 노력과 연구가 활발하게 이루어져야 한다.
