The purpose of this study was to explore the Justification for Physical Education on the Basis of Attitude Changes which mean the phenomenological reduction. Attitude changes makes us accept a new attitude from a previous attitude, and then we capture the meaning of the world and objects as our interest changes. This paper unveiled three attitude changes that was grasped through analysing another papers searched for justification for PE. For example of taking a attitude change, if we accept a special attitude the value of PE is different by the attitude. The justification for PE on the basis of three attitude changes was followed; First, through the intellectualism attitude, a acquiring the practical knowledge as the value of PE was uncovered. Second, through the holism attitude, a educating whole person. Last, through the phenomenology attitude, a educating Cultured Person Doing Exercise who works out with embodied consciousness.

이 연구는 현상학적 환원을 의미하는 ‘태도변경’이란 개념을 토대로 체육의 정당화를 탐색하는 데 목적을 두었다. 태도 변경이란 우리가 지니고 있는 특정한 태도에서 다른 태도로 변경하면 우리의 관심이 바뀌면서 우리가 마주 하 는 대상 및 세계의 의미가 다르게 보인다는 의미이다. 본고에서는 체육의 정당화를 다룬 선행 연구를 토대로 체육 교과에 대한 태도가 크게 세 가지로 구분될 수 있음을 파악했으며 특정한 태도를 취함에 따라 체육의 가치를 각각 다른 곳에 두고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 각각의 태도에 따른 체육의 가치 설정은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지성주의적 태도 로서, 체육은 실천적 지식의 획득 과정에 의미를 두는 교과이다. 둘째, 통합주의적 태도로서 체육은 체, 지, 덕을 골 고루 갖춘 전인을 지향하는 교과이다. 마지막으로 현상학적 태도로서, 체육은 체화된 학습의 과정을 통하여 운동교 양인을 기르는 교과이다.
