Universities and public research institutes have continuously created new technologies using government R&D programs. However, the utilization rate of R&D results is low in the public sector and interest and support for research-based spin-offs are increasing recently. Therefore, in this study, an empirical study was conducted on entrepreneurial orientation, strategic orientation, and organizational agility as influencing factors to increase the performance of research-based spin-offs. As a result of empirical research on 140 research-based spin-offs, it was found that technology orientation and market orientation affect organizational agility and its business performance. In addition, organizational agility was analyzed to play a mediating role between performance, technology orientation, and market orientation. Considering the results of the research, to realize the strategic orientation of the research-based spin-off and create results, it is necessary to have the capability to realize it and to respond quickly to the market and environment.

대학이나 공공연구기관에서는 정부 R&D 프로그램을 활용하여 지속적으로 신기술을 창출하 여 왔다. 하지만 공공부문에서 창출된 연구개발 성과의 활용률은 낮은 상황이며, 최근 연구기반 스핀오프에 대한 관심과 지원이 늘어나고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 연구기반 스핀오프의 성과 를 높이기 위한 영향요인으로 기업가지향성과 전략지향성, 그리고 조직민첩성에 대하여 실증연 구를 수행하였다. 140개 연구기반 스핀오프에 대한 실증연구 결과, 기술지향성과 시장지향성은 조직민첩성에 영향을 미치고, 조직민첩성은 경영성과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 조직민첩성은 경영성과와 기술지향성, 시장지향성간에 매개역할을 하는 것으로 분석되었다. 연 구결과를 종합하여 볼 때, 연구기반 스핀오프의 전략적 지향성을 실현하여 성과를 창출하기 위 해서는 이를 실현하기 위한 역량이 필요하며, 시장과 환경에 민첩하게 대응하는 것이 요구된다.
