This paper newly introduces 『Daemyeongiltongji-Siyeongjipryu(大明一統志詩 詠集類)』 (Hereinafter referred to as 『Siyeongjipryu』 ), compiled by the order of Myeongjong(明宗) around 1546, and examines its background, format, and composition. In order to supplement for the shortcomings of the large-scale of 『Daemyeongiltongji』 , 『Siyeongjipryu』 is a compilation of only the 'Poems' included in the book. This book, published in metal type[Gapinja(甲寅字)], originally consisted of eight volumes, but only two volumes, Volume 3 and 7, currently remains. This was born in the atmosphere of the times, such as 'activation of government-led cultural projects', 'increased interest in poetry', and 'expansion of geography knowledge'. Currently, this book remains only in the form of a remnant, but based on this, its approximate format, composition, and content can be known. In 『Siyeongjipryu』 , only the poems contained in 『Daemyeongiltongji』 were basically brought and loaded, and the recording order and basic format were kept the same as that of 『Daemyeongiltongji』 . Of course, some abbreviations were added to the annotations on China places and authors, but the overall contents were not separately changed or added. It is edited so that only the poems in it can be read in a simple and concise manner without disturbing the original frame of the 『Daemyeongiltongji』 . Constructed in this way, 『Siyeongjipryu』 provided Joseon scholars who could only partially or limitedly experience the Chinese land an indirect geography experience and a path to acquire information, and increased their understanding of Chinese culture and literature. Furthermore, it is presumed that it would have been a useful reference for studying poetry, preparing for Ming(明) dynasty envoy reception, and acquiring information about the Chinese region at the time. At that point, 『Siyeongjipryu』 is another literary achievement carried out in the middle of the 16th century, and it can be said to be a meaningful work that shows the extraordinary interest in Chinese poetry and geography.

본고는 1546년 경 明宗의 명에 의해 편찬된 『大明一統志詩詠集類』 (이하 『시영집류』 )를 새로이 소개하고, 그 편찬 배경과 체재, 구성에 대해 논한 글이다. 『시영집류』 는 『大明一統志』 의 분량이 지나치게 많아 보기에 어려운 점 을 보완하기 위해 서적 내 등장하는 ‘제영시’ 만을 별도로 뽑아 편찬한 책 으로, 명종의 명을 받은 柳辰仝⋅宋世珩등의 문신들이 그 작업을 주도하 였다. 금속활자[甲寅字]로 간행된 이 책은 본래 8권의 규모로 이루어져 있 었으나, 현재 전하는 것은 권3과 권7 두 권뿐이다. 그 편찬 배경에는 ‘관 주도 문화 사업의 활성화’, ‘시문에의 관심 증가’, ‘지리 지식 확대’ 등의 시 대적 분위기가 자리하고 있었다. 『시영집류』 는 현재 잔본의 형태로 전하고 있으나, 이것만으로도 그 대 략의 체재와 구성, 내용 등은 미루어 파악할 수 있다. 『시영집류』 는 기본적으로 『대명일통지』 소재 여러 문학 작품 가운데 제영시만을 가져와 싣 되, 수록 순서와 기본 체재를 『대명일통지』 와 거의 동일하게 유지하였다. 『대명일통지』 의 본래 틀을 흩트리지 않으면서 그 속의 시문만을 뽑아 간 편하고 일목요연하게 살필 수 있도록 편집한 것이다. 이러한 방식으로 구성된 『시영집류』 는 중국 땅을 부분적‧제한적으로밖에 체험할 수 없던 조 선인들에게 간접적인 지리 체험 및 정보 습득의 경로를 제공하고, 중국 문화와 문학에 대한 이해를 증진시켰을 것으로 짐작된다. 이와 같은 지점에서 『시영집류』 는 16세기 중반 중앙 문단에서 이룩된 또 하나의 문학적 성취이자, 당대 문운 융성의 기조 하에 한층 증폭되었던 중국 시문‧지리에 대한 비상한 관심을 보여주는 의미 있는 저작이라 할 수 있다.
