This study aims to analyze public preference for the fields of artificial intelligence medical products and services. A BWS survey on artificial intelligence medical products and services was conducted with 663 respondents; the survey results were estimated using an econometric model. Based on the results, respondents preferred the following, in the order of most preferred first: 1) suggestions for cancer diagnosis and treatment; 2) disease-related monitoring; 3) automatic analysis/prediction of images such as radiation and cardiovascular systems; 4) blood tests and presentation of test results; 5) monitoring body indicators such as blood during surgery; 6) monitoring and advice related to lifestyle; 7) consultation and diagnosis with a virtual medical professional. In particular, it was confirmed that the results of priority setting for AI medical products and services was consistent regardless of age, income, and level of interest in healthcare. The results of preference for artificial intelligence medical products and services perceived by the people who are taxpayers and beneficiaries of medical policies can contribute to establishing medical policies and setting program directions.

본 연구는 인공지능 의료 제품 및 서비스에 대한 국민의 선호도를 파악해 시사점을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 7가지 인공지능 의료 제품 및 서비스를 대상으로 BWS 설문조사를 수행하였고, 총 663명의 응답자 설문결과를 계량경제학적 모형으로 추정하여 선호도를 파악하였다. 응답자들은 ‘암 진단과 치료 제언’, ‘질병관련 모니터링’, ‘방사선, 심혈관 등 영상 이미지 자동 분석 / 예측 제공’, ‘혈액 검사와 결과 제공’, ‘수술 중 혈액 등 신체지표 모니터링’, ‘생활습관 관련 모니터링 및 조언’, ‘가상의료 전문가와의 상담 및 진단’ 순으로 인공지능 의료 제품 및 서비스에 대한 선호도가 높았다. 응답자들을 연령, 소득, 건강관리에 관한 관심 정도 등에 따라 세분화하여 추정한 결과에서도 선호도 우선순위 결과는 달라지지 않고 일관되었다. 본 연구결과는 국민들이 인식하는 인공지능 의료 서비스 분야 내 상대적 중요도와 선호도를 파악하였다는 점에서 향후 관련 정책수립 및 사업추진 방향 설정에 참고 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
