Nokdu Flower is a drama about the Tonghak(東學) Peasant Revolution in 1894, and the production team tried to pursue a harmony between fiction and fact and to make historical evidence. This paper analyze how historical records related to the Tonghak Peasant Revolution were implemented in Nokdu Flower and examine the modified aspects of the process of summoning and reproducing history and its significance. The analysis targets were limited to battles represented by the Gobu Uprising, the Battle of Hwangryongchon in Janseong, the occupation of Gyeongbokgung palace, and the Battle of Ugeumti, and the illegal activities of Tonghak Peasant army. As a result of the analysis, Nokdu Flower did not create or exaggerate to dramatically describe the same scene, or reduce or mention parts that interfere with the development of the story. This recall and reproduction of history strengthened the central narrative of Nokdu Flower by enhancing historical evocative power and creating an effect that brings viewers into the actual history.

<녹두꽃>은 1894년 일어난 동학농민혁명에 대한 드라마로, 제작진은 허구와 팩트의 조화를 추구하려 노력하며 역사적 고증을 위해 노력했다. 이 논문은 역사의 소환 및 재현 방식과 그 의의를 살피는 과정으로, 동학농민혁명과 관련된 역사기록물이 <녹두꽃>에서 어떻게 구현되었는지 분석하고 변형된 양상을 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 분석 대상은 혁명의 시작인 고부 봉기, 장성 황룡촌 전투·경복궁 점령·우금티 전투로 대표되는 전투들과 동학농민혁명의 그늘인 동학농민군의 불법 활동 및 늑혼으로 한정했다. 분석 결과 <녹두꽃>은 동일한 장면을 극적으로 묘사하려 창작 혹은 과장하거나, 이야기 전개에 방해가 되는 부분은 축소하거나 언급하지 않았다. 이러한 역사의 소환과 재현은 역사적 환기력을 높이고 시청자를 실제 역사 안으로 끌고 오는 효과를 만들어내면서도 몰입시키는 요인으로 작용하여 <녹두꽃>의 중심서사를 든든하게 받쳐주는 역할을 하였다.
