This study aimed to analyze musical pieces and seek ways to utilize it for gasa education. The research method mainly focused on literature analysis. First, previous studies and textbooks validated that gasa education was not properly done. Thus, the implication that educational contents should be constructed responding to each school level through a close analysis of musical pieces was derived. In addition, the analysis direction and detailed elements were extracted by placing a category of lyrics, jangdan, and melodies for full-scale analysis. Based on this, each musical piece was analyzed. The result of the analysis indicated that since gasa has very diverse characteristics for each musical piece, activities that reveal each piece’s characteristics along with the genre’s traits must be performed. Finally, based on the analysis, a school level appropriate for musical pieces was selected, and areas and activities, forms of music scores, and the direction of linking with other school subjects were detailed, considering the levels of music. This study did not deal with practical teaching and learning methods because it focused on the analysis of gasa’s musical pieces and an outline of educational uses. Practical teaching and learning methods will be covered in the next research project. It is expected that the findings of the study will be used in actual gasa education.

본 연구는 가사교육을 위해 악곡을 분석하고 이를 활용할 수 있는 방안을 모색하는 데 목적을 두었다. 연구 방법으로는 문헌 분석이 주를 이루었다. 먼저, 선행연구 및 교과서를 통해 가사교육이 제대로 이루어지지 않고 있다는 사실을 확인 했으며 악곡의 면밀한 분석을 통해 학교급에 맞게 교육내용을 조직해야 한다는 시사점을 도 출하였다. 또, 본격적인 분석을 위해 노랫말, 장단, 가락, 기타 등으로 구분하여 분석 방향과 세부 요소를 추출하였고 이를 근거로 하여 악곡별로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 가사는 악곡별로 특징 이 매우 다양하여 갈래의 특징과 함께 악곡별 특징이 드러나는 활동이 이루어져야 한다는 결론을 얻었다. 끝으로, 분석한 내용을 토대로 악곡에 적합한 학교급을 선정하였고 악곡의 수준을 고려하 여 영역 및 활동, 악보의 형태, 타 교과와의 연계 방향 등을 상세화하였다. 본 연구는 가사의 악곡 분석과 대략적인 활용 방안에 중점을 두어, 실제적인 교수ㆍ학습 방안은 다루지 못하였다. 이는 차기 연구과제로 미루며 본 연구의 결과가 실제 가사교육에 활용되기 기대해 본다.
