The purpose of this article is to introduce the process of Cho Myoung-hee's re-examination in North Korea in 1956, and to identify the role of his nephew, Cho Byeok-am and his activities in North Korea. In particular, they choose the approach of 'Korean literature of division and separation' from the perspective of insight into the literature of the two. This is the product of the intention to restore the life and literature of Cho Myung-hee and Cho Byeok-am, whose existence itself was overlooked, neglected, and denied due to the ideological confrontation between South Korea and North Korea, and use it as the basis for the "Korean Literary History." As is well known, Cho Myoung- hee, a Russian exile writer from KAPF, restored his life and literature by releasing Cho Myoung-hee's Selection (1959) with the efforts of his brother-in-law Hwang Dong-min. On the other hand, Cho Byeok-am, who took the lead in re-examining him in the North, was branded as a North Korean writer in the South, and his life and literature are still unknown. In response, Cho Byeok-am introduces four literary issues that have been active in North Korea: (1) creating poems about the reality of South Korea and the unification of the two Koreas, (2) publishing and editing literary magazines, (3) re-examining Cho Myoung-hee, and (4) external exchanges such as Mongolia, Vietnam, and Japan. Through this, he can restore the honor of Cho Byeok-am, who was accused of being a communist who went to North Korea, and re-eval uate his life and literature with an inclusive view of Korean literature of division and separation. Expanding the concept into the "Korean Cultural History" of division and separation that embraces him, we can escape from cultural imperial discrimination and Seoul centralism, which are the hidden desires of unification and diaspora discourse.

이 글에서는 포석 조명희가 1956년 북한에서 재조명된 과정을 소개하고, 그의 조카 벽암 조중흡의 당시 역할과 북한에서의 행적을 규명한다. 특히 둘의 문학을 통찰하는 시각으로 ‘분단과 이산의 코리아문학’이란 접근법을 택한다. 이는 (남)한 국, (북)조선의 이념 대결로 인해 존재 자체가 간과, 외면, 부정되었던 조명희와 조벽암의 삶과 문학을 복원하여 앞으로 서술할 ‘통합 코리아문학사’의 기초로 삼 으려는 의도의 산물이다. 주지하다시피 카프 출신의 러시아 망명 작가 조명희는 처남 황동민의 노력으로 선집(1959)이 나옴으로써 그의 삶과 문학이 복원되었다. 반면 북에서 그를 재조명하는 데 앞장선 조벽암은 남에서 월북 작가로 낙인찍혀 여전히 그의 삶과 문학 전모가 제대로 알려지지 않았다. 이에 재북 시기 벽암 문학 을, (1) 통일과 대남 주제 시 창작, (2) 출판과 문예지 편집, (3) 조명희 재조명, (4) 몽고, 베트남, 일본 등 대외 교류 등으로 나눠 간략히 소개한다. 이를 통해 빨갱이, 월북 작가로 매도되었던 조벽암의 명예를 회복하고 분단과 이산의 코리아 문학이란 관점으로 그의 삶과 문학을 재조명한다. 그를 포용하는 분단과 이산의 ‘코리아문화사’로 개념을 확장하면 통일의 당위와 디아스포라 담론의 숨겨진 욕망 인 문화제국주의적 차별과 서울중심주의에서 벗어날 수 있다.
