Films based on real events, also known as “Faction films”, as the name suggests, are created through the objective observation and subjective reflection of film creators, with the main creative inspiration and materials based on real cases or events that have occurred in history or real life. Such methods as text analysis, film material analysis and comparative research are mainly adopted to conduct the classification and compilation of published literature and the latest theoretical research achievements. This is how this paper can make clear the history and current situation of real-life-based films of Korea and China, and summarize the secret behind their huge success in Korea both commercially and artistically. Then, it conducts a detailed analysis and interpretation of various aspects of Escape From Mogadishu and Operation Red Sea, including the narrative techniques, characterization, narrative perspectives, adaptation strategies, plot construction and thematic expression, so as to compare the similarities and differences of narrative strategies in Korean and Chinese films adapted from real events, and probe into the specific reasons behind the differences. And last, through the expression of social values and spirits of real-life-based films in South Korea and China reflected in the two films, this paper offers an analysis of the reasons for the commercial and artistic success of them, as well as the problems resulting in the gap between Chinese and Korean films. It also points out that Chinese film creators need to draw on the successful experience of the South Korea film industry to further improve the domestic industry and management systems and form typed creative models and expressions centered on national and local cultures. This is how they can blaze a path of film industrialization with Chinese characteristics.

진실한 사건을 바탕으로 각색한 영화는 이름 그대로 역사나 현실에서 실제로 발생한 사례 또는 사건 을 주요 창작 영감과 창작 소재로 하여 영화 창작자의 객관적 관찰과 주관적 재조명을 통해 창작된 영화 작품을 말하며, 또한 이를 ‘Faction 영화’라 한다. 그리고 최근 한중 양국에서 상당한 영향력을 나타낸 이 유형의 일부 영화 작품들이 창작되었다. 본 연구는 최근에 한국과 중국에서 진실한 사건을 바탕으로 각 색된 대표적인 영화인 <모가디슈>와 <오퍼레이션 레드 씨>를 주요 사례로 서사학 이론을 토대로 하여 서사 연구의 ‘어떻게(how)’에 대한 문제를 해결하고자 했으며, 구체적으로 영화 텍스트에 대한 자세한 이 해와 연구를 바탕으로 진실한 사건을 토대로 각색한 영화의 시대 배경과 주요 특징을 고찰하였다. 본 연 구는 주로 텍스트 분석, 영상 자료 분석과 비교 연구 등의 방법을 사용하였다. 기존 문헌과 최신 이론 연 구 성과를 정리하고, 진실한 사건을 바탕으로 각색한 한중 영화의 발전 역사와 현황을 고찰했으며, 이 유 형의 영화가 한국에서 상업과 예술적 성공을 거둔 근본적인 원인을 요약하였다. 이어서 두 영화의 서사 기법, 인물 구축, 서사 시각, 각색 전략, 플롯 구축과 주제 표현 등에 대한 분석과 이해를 시도하였다. 이 를 통해 중국 영화 창작자가 한국 영화의 성공 경험을 참고하고, 중국의 영화 산업과 관리 메커니즘을 보완하며, 장르화 창작 모델을 형성하고 중국 민족과 문화 표현을 중시해야만 중국 특색을 지닌 영화 산 업을 발전시킬 수 있다는 것을 제시하였다.
