This study aims to examine the audience's transition experience patterns when constructing from the general fantasy attribute of the illusion's motif to the concept of theatricality and illusion by applying the chronotope research methodology of drama shape and image ventilation. This paper seeks to find the meaning of theatricality in the performance of , which is an immersive theater with a prominent fantasy motif and has secured popularity. The above play produced various fantasy motifs in an attempt to maximize the audience's impression and implement an interactive theater that leads active communication with the audience. In other words, it can be confirmed that actors and audiences actively reproduced the meaning of fantasy by reproducing the fantasy motif in the work in a theatrical sense. Specifically, the medium of performance was used as a theatrical device throughout the performance of Fuerzaburta as an immersive play. The above effect can be confirmed from a meaningful perspective through synesthetic image elements, including theatrical fantasy, to the audience's transfer experience. Audience participation can be seen as the core goal and driving force of an immersive play. This intention can produce theatrical meaning when the audience's breathing appears as the subject of active expression, as well as the acting of an actor who is a performer on stage. From the above perspective, it can be seen that the audience in the immersive play corresponds to the actor on stage. In addition, in terms of stage implementation, visual presentation forms the atmosphere of the play and at the same time establishes itself as a major factor that can add to the audience's immersion. In other words, it focuses on effective storytelling of the play while expanding to the area of the shape and mental image evoked by space-time, which can be seen from the concept of chronotope. Therefore, this paper uses the concept of chronotope to understand the theatricality of the Illusion motif in the performance of Puerto Rico, and to examine the specific aspects of the audience and actors' transition experiences according to immersion in the play.

이 연구는 ‘환상’모티프가 갖는 일반적인 판타지(fantasy) 속성에서 나아가 하나의 예술적 관점인 연극성, 일루전(illusion)의 개념으로 구축할 때 나타나는 관객의 전이 체험 양상을 극의 형상(figure)과 이미지 환기의 크로노토프(chronotope) 연구방법론을 적용하여 살펴보고자 한다. 논자는 환상 모티브가 두드러지게 나타나는 이머시브 연극(Immersive Theatre)이자 대중성을 확보한 <푸에르자부르타 웨이라 인 서울 2019> 공연 속에서 연극성의 의미를 찾고자 한다. 위 공연은 관객의 이머전(immersion)을 극대화 시키고, 관객과의 적극적인 소통을 주도하는 인터랙티브 씨어터(Interactive Theatre)를 구현하기 위한 시도로 다양한 환상 모티브를 연출하였다. 즉 작품 내 환상 모티프를 연극적 의미로 재생산해냄으로서 환상의 의미를 배우와 관객으로 하여금 능동적으로 재현하였음을 확인할 수 있다. 구체적으로 말해 이머시브 극으로서의 푸에르자부르타 공연 곳곳에서 퍼포먼스의 매개체를 연극적 장치로 활용했다는 점이다. 위의 효과는 연극적 환상에서 비롯한 공감각적 이미지 요소를 통해 관객의 전이 체험에 이르기까지의 과정을 유의미한 시각으로 확인할 수 있다. 관객 참여는 이머시브 연극의 핵심 목표이자 원동력으로 볼 수 있다. 이러한 의도는 연극이 무대 위 퍼포머인 배우의 연기로만 채워지는 것이 아니라, 관객의 호흡이 능동적인 표현의 주체로 나타날 때, 연극적 의미를 생산해 낼 수 있다. 위의 관점에서 볼 때 이머시브 극에서의 관객은 무대 위 배우와 상응하는 존재임을 확인할 수 있다. 또한 무대 구현의 측면에서 볼 때, 시각적 제시는 극의 분위기를 형성함과 동시에 관객의 몰입을 더할 수 있는 주요 요소로 자리매김한다. 즉 크로노토프 개념에서 볼 수 있는 시공간이 불러일으키는 형상, 정신적 이미지(mental image)까지의 영역으로 확대하면서 극의 효과적인 스토리텔링에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 따라서 논자는 크로노토프 개념을 사용하여 푸에르자부르타 공연에 나타난 환상 모티프가 지니는 연극성을 파악하고, 극 중 몰입에 따른 관객과 배우의 전이 체험에 이르기까지의 구체적인 양상에 대해 고찰하고자 한다.
