Humans, as social animals, discover the meaning of their existence and realize their self through social life. A stable and healthy society will have high cohesion through solidarity and philanthropy among community members. For this reason, social integration is required for social maintenance and development. Social integration can be approached at the social level and the individual level. Low social cohesion not only hinders social cohesion but also affects the health of individual members. From this point of view, social integration is the main factor that influences social development and individual well-being. Considering this, it is necessary to pay attention to the effect of social integration on members. Exploring the concept of social integration and examining the practical effects it has on members of society will help spark a multifaceted discussion on the purpose, content, and method of social integration education. In this paper, the impact of social cohesion on mental health from the discipline of neuroscience was investigated, and educational tasks were proposed. To this end, I focused on the following questions: First, what is the concept of social integration? Second, what is the relationship between social integration and mental health in neuroscience? And thirdly, what can be suggested as a task for social integration education in ethics education?

사회적 동물인 인간은 사회생활을 통해 자신의 존재 의의를 발견하 고 자아를 실현한다. 안정되고 건전한 사회는 사회 구성원 간 연대와 박애를 통해 높은 응집력을 갖게 된다. 이 때문에 사회 유지와 발전을 위해 사회통합이 요구된다. 사회통합은 사회차원과 개인차원에서 접 근 가능하다. 낮은 사회통합은 사회결속의 저해뿐만 아니라 구성원 개인의 건강에도 영향을 준다. 이러한 점에서 본다면 사회통합은 사회 발전뿐만 아니라 개인의 웰빙을 좌우하는 주된 인자이다. 이 때문에 사회통합이 구성원에 미치는 영향에도 관심을 기울일 필요가 있다. 사 회통합의 개념 탐색과 사회구성원에 주는 실질적 작용에 대한 검토는 사회통합교육의 목적, 내용, 방법에 대한 다각적인 논의를 촉발하도록 도울 것이다. 본 논문에서는 정신건강 및 뇌신경과학 차원에서 사회통 합의 영향을 살피고 교육의 과제를 제안했다. 이를 위해 다음의 질문 에 중점을 두었다. 첫째, 사회통합의 개념은 무엇인가?, 둘째, 뇌신경과 학 측면에서 사회통합과 정신건강은 어떠한 관련을 갖고 있는가?, 셋 째, 윤리교육 영역에서 사회통합교육의 과제로 무엇을 제시할 수 있는가?
