In the 2022 revised curriculum, [Ethics and Thoughts] changed its status to a career elective subject, a non-CSAT(College Scholastic Ability Test) elective subject. Therefore, the main task of the 2022 [Ethics and Thoughts] curriculum is to simultaneously secure its identity, which has been maintained since the 7th curriculum, and differentiation as a career elective subject. This paper intends to present the main development direction, design rationale, and current status of the first study of the 2022 revision [Ethics and Thoughts], which was conducted with this awareness in mind. The major revision directions set in the first study of the 2022 revision [Ethics and Thoughts] curriculum are first to strengthen the linkage with the general discussion. Second, it maintains the identity of [Ethics and Thoughts] of ‘systematic learning and understanding of ethics and social thought’. Third, while pursuing a harmony between the ethics history-oriented approach and the topic-oriented approach, the elements of the topic-centered approach are further strengthened. Centering on this revision direction, the first study conducted a study on the personality, goals, and content system. As such, the purpose of this paper is to contribute to the completion of the research on the 2022 revision of the [Ethics and Thoughts] curriculum by sharing the main contents of the first study of the 2022 revision [Ethics and Thoughts].

2022 개정 교육과정에서 [윤리와 사상]은 비수능 선택 과목인 진로 선택 과목으로 그 위상이 변화하였다. 따라서 2022 [윤리와 사상] 교육 과정의 주요 과제는 7차 교육과정부터 유지되어온 정체성과 진로 선택 과목으로서의 차별성을 동시에 확보하는 것이다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제의식에서 진행된 2022 개정 [윤리와 사상]의 1차 연구의 주요 개 발 방향 및 설계 근거와 현황을 제시하고자 한다. 2022 개정 [윤리와 사상] 교육과정 1차 연구에서 설정된 주요 개정 방향은 첫째, 총론과 의 연계성을 강화한다. 둘째, ‘윤리사상과 사회사상에 대한 체계적 학 습과 이해’라는 [윤리와 사상]의 정체성을 유지한다. 셋째, 윤리 사상사 중심 접근법과 주제 중심 접근법의 조화를 추구하되 주제 중심 접근 요소를 더욱 강화하는 것이다. 이러한 개정 방향을 중심으로 1차 연구 에서는 성격과 목표 및 내용 체계에 관한 연구를 진행하였다. 본 논문 의 목적은 2022 개정 [윤리와 사상] 1차 연구의 주요 내용을 공유함으 로써 2022 [윤리와 사상] 교육과정 개정 연구 마무리에 보탬을 주고자 하는 데 있다.
