Since most of the weapons systems in Korea as well as the United States are being developed based on software, the process of acquiring weapons systems should be considered as an extension of software development. Development methodologies that have recently attracted attention in software development are adaptive life cycle and agile methodologies. This is a method of gradually satisfying customer requirements by producing a MVP(Minimum Viable Product). In other words, the adaptive life cycle is attracting attention as an appropriate development methodology according to the increasingly advanced and complex technology needs. This study intends to study the evolutionary acquisition method of the weapon system through contract-type research. First, based on the adaptive life cycle of the software, the characteristics of each stage are derived and effective contract plans are presented step by step. By analyzing the risks of the orderer and the developer at each stage, a flexible and effective contract plan was derived. I think this will provide implications for the evolutionary acquisition of the weapon system.

현대의 무기체계에서 소프트웨어가 차지하는 비중은 나날이 높아져 가고 있다. 따라서 무 기체계의 획득에 있어서 소프트웨어의 수명주기와 개발모델을 준용할 필요가 있다. 그러나 여전히 한국군의 무기체계 획득 프로세스는 여전히 하드웨어 획득의 관점에서 이루어지고 있거나 소프트웨어 획득과는 별개로 이루어지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 소프트웨어 개발 모델 중 하나인 적응형 모델의 수명주기와 무기체계 총수명주기의 관계를 분석하여 무기체 계의 획득 프로세스에 적용하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 적응형 수명주기를 기준으로 각 수명 주기 단계의 특성과 리스크를 분석하였으며 수명주기 단계별로 군과 개발업체 모두에게 유 리하게 적용될 수 있는 계약방식을 제시하였다.
