This study examined the career-related factors affecting the vocational choice decision of multicultural adolescents. This study verified the concrete career-related factors such as career education & activity(degree of participation, satisfaction), career attitude(decisiveness, preparation), and career barrier(lack of self-understanding, lack of career & vocational information, economic hardship) on vocational choice decision. At this time, this study examined differences in the factors affecting the vocational choice decision according to gender of multicultural adolescents. For the performance of this study, total 1,197 multicultural adolescents were analyzed by using the 8th-year data of Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study. The main results of the analysis are as follows. First, the vocational choice decision was not statistically significant in each demographic characteristic. Second, in the results of examining differences in career-related factors according to the vocational choice decision, there were statistically significant differences in all the factors such as degree of participation and satisfaction of career education & activity, career decisiveness and preparation of career attitude, and lack of self-understanding, lack of career & vocational information, and economic hardship of career barrier. Third, among the career-related factors, the career decisiveness, career preparation, and lack of career & vocational information were revealed as the factors affecting the vocational choice decision. Fourth, in the results of verifying differences in the factors affecting the vocational choice decision according to gender, the career decisiveness and career preparation were the factors affecting it in the group of male adolescents while the career decisiveness and lack of career & vocational information were the factors affecting it in the group of female adolescents. Based on such results, this study suggested the intervention measures for career development of multicultural adolescents.

청소년 인구는 꾸준히 감소하고 있음에도 다문화청소년은 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 다문화청소년 역시 우리의 미래를 이끌어나갈 이 사회의 중요한 구성원이라는 기대와 달리 현실적으로 다문화청소년 의 진로발달에 관한 관심과 지원은 상대적으로 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 다문화청소년의 직업선택결정에 영향을 미치는 진로 관련 요인이 무엇인지 규명하였다. 구체적 진로 관련 요인인 진로교육 및 활동(참여정도, 만족도), 진로태도(결정성, 준비성), 진로장벽(자 기이해부족, 진로 및 직업정보 부족, 경제적 어려움)이 직업선택결정에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 확인한 것이다. 이때 다문화청소년의 성별에 따라 직업선택결정 영향요인에 차이가 있는지도 검증하였다. 연구 수행을 위해 2018년 7월-10월에 조사된 다문화청소년패널조사 8차년도 데이터를 활용하다. 분석대상은 고등학교 2학년 다문화청소년 총 1,197명이었다. 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인구통계학적 특성별 직업선택결정은 통계적으로 유의미하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 직업선택결정에 따른 진로 관련 요인의 차이를 살펴본 결과, 진로교육 및 활동 참여정도와 만족도, 진로태도의 진로결정성과 진로준비성, 진로장벽인 자기이해 부족, 진로 및 직 업정보 부족, 경제적 어려움의 모든 요인에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 셋째, 진로 관련 요 인 중 진로결정성, 진로준비성, 진로 및 직업정보 부족이 직업선택결정에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 밝혀 졌다. 덧붙여 성별에 따라 직업선택결정의 영향요인에 차이가 있는지 검증한 결과, 남자청소년은 진로 결정성과 진로준비성 요인이, 여자청소년은 진로결정성과 진로 및 직업정보 부족 요인이 영향요인으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 다문화청소년의 진로발달을 위한 체계적 진로준비 프로그램을 개발 해야하고 성별을 고려한 구체적 진로 지원전략을 강구해야하며 진로결정 자기효능 증진 프로그램을 통 해 다문화청소년의 역량을 강화시켜 나갈 수 있도록 지원해야 할 것을 제언하였다.
