This study is an exploratory study on the development of a factor terrorism profiling simulator applying the latest ICT technology based on Metaverse by converting the main aspects of criminal behavior analysis theory and terrorism into big data. Recently, the threat of terrorist attacks has been increasing due to the limitations of physical search equipment and the low-techization of harmful means such as 3D printers. Therefore, preemptive and preventive security measures are more important. Currently, education and training to identify terrorists and victims in public and private security safety institutions are mainly conducted on simple introductory education and theoretical education. There is no VR-based training system, which is a trend of education and training in the field of public safety. For this purpose of the study, an exploratory study was proposed on the introduction of a simulator to improve the profiling capability of field respondents to identify terrorists. The focus of the study is, first, the psychological characteristics of terrorists, the theory of criminal behavior analysis, training scenarios based on terrorism patterns, and the construction of big data. Second, it is the implementation of an immersive training situation that identifies risks through AI NPC technology in the virtual world under the metaverse platform. Third, it is the establishment of a customized and quantified training evaluation system according to the competency level of trainees.

이 연구는 요인테러의 양상 및 범죄행동분석 기반의 테러범의 행동분석을 빅데이터화 한, 메타버스(Metaverse) 기반의 요인테러 프로파일링 시뮬레이터 개발에 관한 탐색적 연구 이다. 최근 글로벌 테러양상을 살펴보면 국가요인에 대한 테러 및 위해시도 사례가 증가하 면서 테러범이 표출하는 사전 위해성에 대한 예측이 매우 중요하다. 최근 Low-Tech 테러, 모욕성 투척수단의 다양화, 물리적 검색장비의 한계 등 테러공격수단의 위협이 증대됨에 따라 이에 대한 현장 대응역량이 강조되고 있다. 이를 위해 현재 공공 경호안전 기관을 중심으로 테러범 및 위해자를 식별하기 위한 행동분석, 인터뷰기법 등 이른바 요인테러범 프로파일링 교육훈련이 주요한 화두가 되고 있다. 이러한 연구목적 하에 경호안전의 현장 대응요원들이 테러범, 위해자 등을 식별하는 프 로파일링 역량을 향상하기 위한 메타버스 기반의 요인테러 프로파일링 시뮬레이터 도입에 대한 탐색적 연구를 제안하였다. 연구 중점은 첫째 테러범의 심리적 특성, 범죄행동분석이 론, 요인테러 양상을 기반으로 한 훈련 시나리오 개발 및 빅데이터 구축, 둘째 메타버스 플랫폼하 가상세계에서 AI NPC 기술 등을 통한 몰입형 테러상황 콘텐츠 구현, 셋째 교육 생의 역량수준에 따른 맞춤식 계량화된 훈련평가체계 개발 구축을 제시하였다.
