In Spanish, when two clitics are combined to form a clitic cluster, the dative clitic must precede the accusative one (DAT > ACC requirement). However, there are combinations that are disallowed despite the satisfaction of the requirement (e.g. *le-me, *te-nos). Therefore, the goal of the paper is to suggest an effective way to account for why they are not allowed. First, we argue that in order to form a clitic cluster, ‘the exclusive accusative clitic inclusion requirement’ must be satisfied before ‘the DAT > ACC requirement’. Second, we show that Spanish allows to use two repair strategies to fix the problems caused by inappropriate clitic combinations. One is to solve the problem by substitution and the other is to correct the problem by not pronouncing the dative clitic. Third, (a) ‘너를 사장님께 소개해줄게’(=I’ll introduce you to the boss) and (b) ‘사장님을 너에게 소개해줄게(=I’ll introduce the boss to you) have different meanings, but when translated into Spanish using Papago and Google translators, the two are translated the same way, which may cause confusion to learners. We suggest that explanation using the second repair strategy introduced in this paper can help them understand why the two sentences are translated the same despite the different meanings.

여격 접어가 대격 접어에 선행함에도 불구하고 *leDAT-meACC, *teDAT-nosACC처럼 허용되 지 않는 접어 조합들이 존재하는데 이것을 모르는 학습자가 많아 오류를 범하기 쉽다. 본고의 목표 는 이런 조합들이 허용되지 않는 이유를 학습자에게 효과적으로 설명하는 방안을 제시하는 것이 다. 첫째, 접어 뭉치를 형성할 수 있으려면 ‘여격 > 대격 요건’을 충족하기에 앞서 ‘배타적 대격 접 어 포함 요건’을 우선 충족해야 한다고 주장한다. 둘째, 부적절한 접어 조합으로 인해 비문이 될 상 황에 놓였을 때 두 가지 교정 전략((i) 배타적 대격 접어에 의한 대체, (ii) 여격 접어의 비음성화(非 音聲化))을 사용하여 문제를 해결할 수 있음을 주장한다. 셋째, (a) ‘너를 사장님께 소개해줄게’와 (b) ‘사장님을 너에게 소개해줄게’는 의미가 다르지만 구글 번역기와 파파고를 이용하여 둘을 스페 인어로 번역해보면 (a)와 (b)가 외형상 동일한 문장으로 번역된다. 이로 인해 학습자들이 혼란을 겪을 수 있는데 본고에서 소개한 두 번째 교정 전략을 활용하면 두 문장의 의미가 다름에도 불구하 고 동일하게 번역되는 이유를 학습자들이 이해하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있음을 주장한다.
