The present study aimed to reveal Tsushima Yuko’s world view which was thoroughly anti-nationalistic and post-nationalistic, and in conflict with the violent modernity. This study also examined the significance of the novel Ogon No Yume No Uta as a text that aimed for the transnational literature and recovering the lost values. The work Ogon No Yume No Uta highlighted the beings marginalized and instrumentalized by the hegemony power in the vast space and long history of Central Asia, focusing on the livelihood of nomads. The novel reveals the author’s critical perspective on the nation and imperialism by presenting the evil influences of domination of the great powers on minorities and ruminating on their vanished tradition. Linked with the nomads in the focus of description, a historical figure Alexandros who also appears in ‘Manas’ was newly narrated by combining historical records and the author’s historical imagination, which is emphasizing the position of mountain nomads more than the aspect of imperial conqueror. The novel expresses not only the agony of young Alexandros who was one of minorities hidden inside the mythical being, but also the characteristically-strong spirit of nomads. Furthermore, the main character that strongly reflects the author’s ego expresses a sense of friendliness toward the nomads of Central Asia, and even shows a sort of longing for them. This longing was based on the characteristic mobility of the nomadic group who continuously moves without settling down in a place. Such mobility symbolizes random freedom and a humble lifestyle, viz. owning something only which is necessary and maintain equality within the group. In other words, it is a world filled with values completely different from the uniform, materialistic, and patriarchal modern world, which was negatively viewed by the author. The main character’s ‘Era of Dream’ wriggled with the primitive dynamics and mysteriousness was influenced by the value and spirit of nomadic oral literature which would be enjoyable to everyone. Furthermore, it worked as a medium and has realized the peaceful coexistence transcending the division of ethnic groups, and the recovery of pluralism lost by the establishment of modern nation-state.

본고에서는 폭력적인 근대성과 대립하며 철저하게 반국가주의적이고 탈민족주의적으로 나타나는 쓰시마 유코의 세계관을 밝히며 잃어버린 가치를 회복하고 초국적인 문학을 지향한 텍스트로 장편소설 『황금 꿈의 노래』의 의의를 짚어보고자 하였다. 『황금 꿈의 노래』에서는 유목민족의 삶의 터전을 중심으로 중앙아시아의 유구한 역사와 광활한 공간을 횡단하며 헤게모니 세력에 의해 주변화되고 도구화된 존재들에게 초점을 맞추고 있다. 그 안에서 열강의 지배가 소수민족에게 미친 폐해를 제시하고 사라져간 그들의 전통을 반추함으로써 국가와 제국주의에 대해 비판적인 작가의 시선을 노정하고 있다. 작중 서술의 초점이 맞춰져 있는 유목민족과도 연동하여 ‘마나스’에 등장하는 역사 인물 알렉산드로스는 사료적 기록과 작가의 역사적 상상력의 결합에 의해 새롭게 이야기화되고 있는데, 거기에는 제국의 정복자로서의 면보다 산악 유목민으로서의 입장이 강조되고 있다. 또한 신화적 존재의 이면에 감춰진 소수 민족자로서 유년기 알렉산드로스의 고뇌와 함께 유목민족 특유의 강인한 정신을 표현하고 있다. 작가의 자아가 강하게 투영된 작중 주인공으로부터 중앙아시아의 유목민족에 대한 친근감이 표출되고 있으며 일종의 동경마저 엿보인다. 그러한 동경은 한 곳에 정주하지 않고 이동하는 삶의 형태, 즉 유목민 집단 특유의 유동성에 있으며, 이는 고정되지 않는 자유의 표상이자, 필요 이상의 것을 소유하지 않는 삶의 방식과 집단 내에 평등을 가져온 원리이기도 하다. 즉 작가가 부정적으로 보는 획일적이고 물신주의적이며 가부장적인 근대　세계와 상반되는 가치가 존재하는 세계라고 할 수 있다. 근대적 자아를 해체하고 이성적 감각을 뒤흔드는 원초적 역동성과 신비함이 꿈틀거리는 주인공의 ‘꿈의 노래’는 누구나가 향수할 수 있는 유목민 구승문예의 가치와 정신의 영향을 받은 것으로, 근대 국민국가의 성립에 의해 상실된 다원성의 회복과 민족의 구분을 초월한 평화적 공생의 양태를 구현한 매체가 되고 있다.
